Use the Island Explorer Bus:
This system has continuous loops circling the many highltights of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park.. Pack lunch bring your bike and explore , grab your swimsuit stop at Echo Lake to swim. Rent a canoe at Long Pond, site see atop Acadia, lunch in Bar Harbor or any of the villages. The bus will be back and you wont have to worry about parking. This bus runs on donations with LL Bean making a generous donation every year.
