The best of new and old!
Located in a small village, but literally seconds from some of the area’s major attractions, the building was constructed in the 1860’s with 15-inch brick walls and stout white oak timbers.
Built atop a well-known photographer’s studio and art gallery, this special vacation rental apartment/condo has been designed to blend the best of new and old.
The apartment sleeps up to seven adults plus two more children. The kitchen is modern, up-scale, and eat-in. The master bedroom is 17x21 and includes both a reading alcove and a window platform. Large, slender windows (top of the line for comfort) invite light inside.
Floors are laminate and tile, with rich rugs lending their color and comfort to the general atmosphere.
In furnishing our apartment, we have followed one major rule: no particle board. You get to enjoy the good stuff.
The kitchen has a full range of new appliances, including ice-in-the-door fridge, ceramic stove, dishwasher, disposal, etc.
It has got plenty of cabinetry, a genuine pantry, and a tile floor. And it is big enough to eat in!
There is a living room with book case, entertainment center, and an extremely comfortable convertible couch. There's a rocking chair and a roll-about Scottish card table.
The second bedroom is small, but includes another high-quality pull-out, dresser, and night table.
The bathroom includes an area for washer and dryer.
Cabinet and closet space are truly abundant. People lug stuff around with them -- you can do that and keep it stored out of sight.
We are very sorry, but the Loft is not handicap accessible at the present time.
