Secluded in 1.5 wooded acres beautiful log cabin with mountain view and access to the Chattahoochee River. Minutes from Helen, Ga. , Unicoi Park and Lake Burton. Huge kitchen accommodates 8 to 10. Playroom with a hockey table, TV and DVD with plenty of movies to watch when you are resting. CD player for your favorite music and a lot of room for the kids to play with toys, read or write. Main bedroom has its own balcony facing the mountains . Cozy living room with plenty of space. The cabin has 3 big decks to enjoy the view while having a BBQ or a glass of wine.

We are surrounded by lakes, waterfall, mountain trail, where you can enjoy fly-fishing, rock climbing, hunting, bird watching, hiking, and much more. In summer time you can enjoy tubing at Chattahoochee River (bring your on tube the cabin has access to the river), and water park in Helen. Unicoi National Park presents Concert In the Park, folk and country music at night- Black Bear Cabin is 7 miles from Helen. We will provide maps from the area and where to go for fun. Don't forget Oktoberfest and air balloon festivals

Beautiful Surroundings and Very Pleasant Stay

I rented this cabin with four other friends from high school (we are now in our 30's) for a reunion. We had a fantastic time going to Anna Ruby Falls, the town of Helen, and walking along to the Chattahoochee river.

I was coming from London, three other friends from Atlanta, one from Knoxville and the other from New York. We all enjoyed the cabin muchly and had a blast.

The cabin's location is difficult to find initially, so please follow the owners directions rather than "google maps" which caused us to get lost for over an hour.

The cabin is larger than we had expected, equipped with everything you might need, and is the perfect size for relaxing and exploring the area. I loved the wrap around porch and the swing! I might suggest new pots and pans - but aside from that, this was a fantastic rental.

I would absolutely rent it again. Thank you.

just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed our stay in your cabin. It was really beautiful and a peaceful setting. We all wanted to stay permanetly because it was such a wonderful place. What a great weekend it was for us. Thank you so much! We did not take our dog or my mother in laws dog though.
We would recommend everyone we know to come to your cabin as it was so warm, cozy and welcoming. It was really pretty and we did not miss having cable or a phone. It was such a nice break from our everyday lives. It was so easy to get to everything also and sight see too. It felt like home away from home to us and we are greatful for the chance to have been there.

Great cabin for a family get away

This clean beautiful cabin was everything we hoped it would be. We enjoyed the hottub and our daughters loved the air hockey table! The view from the deck was very pretty and peaceful. The deck was unbelievably spacious and the beds were very comfortable. If we get the chance we would love to come back to stay again.

Big Bear Cabin

I was impressed with the Big Bear Cabin, The owner was extremely accessible via e-mail and gave me her cell phone # on several occasions, should I need it. My only disappointment is that I would not consider this cabin as having access to the river. Otherwise, everything was as advertised, including a nice hot tub on the porch and air hockey table in the game room. The bedrooms were huge and very comfortable. I would recommend a stay at this cabin to anyone.

Excellent getaway from the everyday hastles

My family and I rented the cabin for the weekend and found it perfect for a getaway from the everyday hastles of modern life. We have a 6 yr old daughter and she had the best time playing outside gathering leaves, playing on the airhockey table (which I could not get her and my husband away long enough to have dinner :o)...) The large TV had great surround sound for movies both for kids and adults. We had a great time playing music and just dancing around the house and doing all the things people don't think of doing when they are at home glued to the TV or computer. They provided books and games as well, which gave us a wonderful true family time. The owners also provided great places to see and explore, along with the perfect little cafes to have home-cooking country breakfast. Those are the things you dont get to see in the big city which attacted us and will keep us coming back. It is a great place to just disconnect from everything and take in the beauty of nature. We plan on returning hopefully in the summer time to try out the river tubing and the hot tub. Especially since the price was extremely reasonable for such a large and well-placed cabin.
