Indiana holiday house

The purpose of our vacation was to have family gatherings and attend a AHS class reunion over a two week period. This property was perfect for our needs but could be expanded, if needed, with the property across the road. There was lake acess but the Stueben County Park and Pokagon State Park beaches were easily accessible and more accommodating for the preschool children's swimming needs that were in our party. Those locations also have excellent play structures for expanded play opportunities. The layout of the house was very accommodating to the eight people that stayed overnight but also for the family gatherings with two decks to allow for additional conversation groups. We were the first to rent the property with the owners doing a great job being ready for the rental. The property will only be enhanced and better with additional landscaping and amenities.
The owners provided excellent customer service and were quick to respond to our needs and wants. The deposits were returned within a week of our return which was appreciated as that has not been in the case with other property rentals. We would recommend this property to friends and would rent again ourselves.
In addition to the beaches previously mentioned we would recommend: Lilly's Produce, Hargar's Meat Market, Caruso's Resturant, Clay's Resturant (for the best pies in Northern Indiana). Samantha's (in Angola) was great for breakfast and lunch. We cooked most of the time and found the kitchen to be very well equipped, as well as equipment for grilling out. Crooked Lake has changed since we enjoyed it as children growing up in Angola with bigger and more substantial properties having been built; but what hasn't changed, is the quality of the beaches, the water clarity, the coziness and the pleasant weather for a summer holiday. It was a pleasure to be back at Crooked Lake instead of the beaches of South Carolina (which are also great).
