Great location, great house...

We rented this home for a week stay with my family -- my husband and I stayed here with my parents and the setup was ideal for us. Everyone had plenty of space to relax and none of us felt "trapped" together...especially important when traveling with parents. :)
The home feels particularly spacious inside; it's a three story home with two bedrooms and a bath on the first floor, living space on the second floor, and an office with a twin bed and second bath on the top floor. Lots of stair climbing if you're using the second bath upstairs, but it wasn't a negative for us. Be aware that the "third bedroom" is really part of the top floor office/loft and only has a tiny bed in it. If you're planning on having three couples share this house, one couple will be sleeping in the kitchen area on a futon.
The living space is very comfortable with a great sectional sofa and it felt very "homey" for the week. We really felt like we had all of the comforts of home on this trip. The house was very clean when we arrived, the neighbors were very friendly (and quiet), and there was easy parking on the street in front of the house.
We spent the entire week exploring downtown Portland, which is a very easy drive (under 5 minutes) from the house, and a late night cab ride home was under $10. Bus service picks up at the end of the street (on Barbur), so you can easily get around using public transit...a real bonus, in my opinion. The location of this home is terrific...there's nothing worse than renting a home in a foreign city only to discover you're in a horrendous neighborhood or out in the middle of nowhere. That was definitely not the case here!
I would highly recommend this property to friends and family. The property owner was very responsive and easy to work with and I would absolutely stay here again.
