Greetings from Palm Island, Florida. Palm Island is one of the last bastions of the old Florida lifestyle. Quiet and laid-back, Palm Island is really three islands (Don Pedro, Knights and Palm) with a contiguous seven mile white sand beach on the west and harbors and inlets on the east. Palm Island is separated from the mainland by Lemon Bay, but is served every 10 minutes by car ferry as well as water taxi and private craft. Traffic is minimal, requiring no lights or stop signs and one paved road. Although vehicles are used, most island transport is via golf cars. Tranquility House is a four bedroom plus media room beach home completed in 2008. With approx. 3,500+ s.f. of living space under air and 4,500 s.f. total space, this property is ideal for gatherings of families, friends, weddings and special occasions. Tranquility House sleeps 12-14 people.. It has been designed for strength, beauty, energy efficiency, comfort and low maintenance.

The ferry to Palm Island is located 5 miles south of Englewood and 5 miles north of Boca Grande on State Road 775. The only access to Palm Island is via private boat, Palm Island Transit car ferry and water taxi. Over the years, Palm Island, Knights Island, Don Pedro Island and Little Gasparilla Island have become interconnected on the beach side. However, Don Pedro State Park occupies the middle part of the island separating what is known as Palm Island from Little Gasparilla Island. There is no auto access from Palm Island to Little Gasparilla Island. Palm Island also features several lagoons and harbors, a restaurant and small store. Each year, the island hosts an art festival. Within one mile of the ferry are several restaurants, two marinas, Freedom Boat Club, one semi-private golf course, a supermarket and post office.
