Located in the Savanah of Bogota, Colombia, South America approx. 45 minutes by car from the city, the vacation home is an easy walk (1 km) to the village of Subachoque, in which one can purchase groceries and necessities. The village offers a variety of restaurants and cantenas, internet cafes, and a medical clinic. The home has many large windows, giving spectacular views of the viillage, the savanah, and the Andean mountainside.

Services: All weekly or longer rentals include automobile transportation from and to the Bogota airport (3 persons max). Auto transportation can be arranged at an additional cost for site-seeing/tourism in Bogota or the surrounding areas. Points of interest include the Bogota Gold Museum, Plaza de Bolivar, Casa de Florero, and many others. The Salt Cathedral, a beautiful structure, is located North of Bogota in Zipaquira. Our guests will be greeted by an English speaking administrator who will be available for assistance and information. Enjoy a work-free vacation. We can arrange for a moderately priced daily maid service, which includes cooking and cleaning. The maid can prepare traditional meals or typical Colombian dishes as desired, and our administrator will be more than happy to assist you in this.

Rural Locale: This is a place to appreciate nature at its fullest, to relax and enjoy the simplicity and warmth of an Andean village and its people. Bogota, Colombia (and Subachoque where the house is located) is near the equator and about 8500 feet above sea level. Consequently, the temperature is mild and does not vary much throughout the year.
