Villa Beauregard sous St Antoine is a beautifully restored classical style Mediterranean villa in Menton, France. Built around 1910 by the Count and Countess de Cippico, the villa was fully restored and upgraded recently with modern amenities. The villa is a 10 minute walk to the beach, 20 minutes to the historic centre of Menton, or 20 minutes to the Italian border. One can take in the breathtaking sea and mountain views while strolling through the villa’s private and sunny terraced gardens filled with ancient olive and citrus fruit trees. Villa Beauregard sous St Antoine is a peaceful and restful place to restore oneself after a day of sightseeing and exploring the Riviera and its many attractions and activities. The Villa is fully air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. The Villa has three levels which can be rented separately or together.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Two week minimum rental during the Monaco Grand Prix. Any two weeks: May 9, 2010 to May 29, 2010.
  • The Villa can be rented as follows:
    Option A: Garden Level only. approx 1500 sq ft., Sleeps 6.
    Option B: Garden and Terrace Levels together approx 4000 sq ft., Sleeps 10.
    Option C: Garden, Terrace and Top Levels (entire villa) approx 5600 sq ft., Sleeps 14.
  • Rentals begin and end on a Saturday. If the Villa is available, we can extend your stay one or two days for a pro-rated amount. During the Monaco Grand Prix, the minimum rental is 2 weeks. Special rates can be quoted on request for the entire summer season, May 1-September 30.

    Deposits: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. The booking can not be considered final until the deposit is received and funds cleared.

    Rental Fee: The remainder of the rental fee is due before your arrival. Due to the delays in wire transfers and clearing cheques, we recommend you plan to make this payment approximately two weeks before your arrival. We regret that should the funds not be cleared by the time of your arrival, we won't be able to give you the keys and allow you access to the Villa so please plan accordingly.

    Damage Deposit: Garden Level: $800 Garden + Terrace Level $2500. All three Levels: $5000 Due a minimum of 2 weeks before you arrive.

  • The Garden Level has a full bathroom with toilet, sink, separate tub and shower. Two of the three bedrooms have sinks with a mirror. The Terrace Level has two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom with toilet, bidet, shower, bathtub and sink. The Terrace Level also has a guest powder room with toilet and sink. The Top Level has two large bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has a small terrace, ensuite bath with jet tub, separate shower, sink, and a separate room with toilet. The 2nd bedroom has an ensuite with bathtub and shower, toilet and sink and a fabulous view of the sea. Each of the bathrooms is equipped with hair dryer, toilet paper, hand towels, wash cloths, bath towels, and bath mats. Each bathroom has l'Occitane hand soap and shower gel for a fragrant arrival!

  • The Villa has three levels: Garden Level, Terrace Level and Top level. Bedroom 1, 2, and 3 are on the Garden Level. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are on the Terrace Level Bedrooms 6 and 7 are on the Top Level. The Lookout Tower, above the Top level, is accessible by a spiral staircase, is 100 sq feet. All of the bedrooms are bright and have views ranging from pretty to pretty spectacular. They each have one or two large windows and closeable shutters for privacy. Each bedroom has individual heating and air conditioning controls. Each of the beds are outfitted with feather duvets, feather pillows and high quality cotton linens. A baby crib is available on request.

Notes on the gardens: The beautiful gardens that surround the Villa are maintained using only organic products and are for you and your guests to enjoy during your stay at the Villa. Feel free to sample the fruit and relax while strolling amongst the ancient olive trees. Although there are some large flat areas, some parts of the garden are terraced without railings and are therefore not suitable for young children. We would be pleased to clarify further. We recommend that children be supervised at all times while in some parts of the garden. We further recommend that the gardens not be used after dark. General: There is an on-site guardian who speaks English, French and Italian who is available to answer your questions and help to guide you towards any services you may need during your stay.

Love to Cook?: If you love to cook, Villa Beauregard has 2 exceptionally well equipped kitchens. The larger of the two, at 300 sq feet is the heart of the Terrace Level. Use the treasures you find in the Ventimiglia or Menton outdoor markets to prepare memorable meals. The kitchen is equipped with: a Smeg 6 burner gas cooktop with a 68 cm wide oven. KitchenAid stand mixer with pasta attachment and citrus juicer, Moulinex food processor with its accessories, hot air popcorn popper, toaster, drip coppee maker, rice cooker, Britta water filter system, Amana refrigerator with ice machine, Bosch dishwasher, Microwave, Saeco Magic fully automated espresso machine and a Sub-Zero wine cave. In the middle of the kitchen is an island with sink so your guests can watch you prepare meals. There is also a huge assortment of good quality tools, cookware and serveware. One simpler, but well equipped kitchen is located on the Garden Level.

Entertainment at the Villa: Read, play, watch, and listen! The VIlla is equipped with a 65 inch flatscreen in the main salon. We also have a DVD library with over 300 titles available. A list is provided inside the villa and the Guardian will bring these to you on request. Also on hand are an assortment of boardgames: Twister, Balderdash, Jenga, Monopoly, Taboo, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Pictionary, Playing Cards, Yatzee, and Euromind. Outdoors games: Croquet, Table Tennis, Darts and Badminton. The Villa also has a built-in sound system and CD library on the Terrace Level with volume controls in the Salon, Kitchen and Dining Room. There are also books galore in many rooms throughout the Villa.
