The estate has been restored in original Marchigian style and is situated on a hill with a fantastic view of the sea. Three houses, an old Church, the pool and the 6,000 m² park-like garden help to make this a refuge of peace and quiet. There are five apartments to choose from, suitable for a maximum of 20 people. During the restoration we tried to avoid 'classical' hotel standards. Each apartment has its own charm by its individual and charming interior. All holiday homes have a cosy kitchen/dining area, a spacious bathroom, central heating and satellite TV. Our residents can dispose of the swimming pool, the barbecue, the bar, numerous quiet resting places and a sand place for games like boccia, badminton, volleyball. Borgo Vecchio is situated in a region of a cultural, culinary and scenic variety and the distance to the different beaches is only a few kilometres.

Apartment Capanna (about 68 m²) is located in an extra house and offers a spacious living room (TV sat) with three sleeps (one double and one single bed sofa; very simple handling) and a separated sleeping area with a double bed, a completely equipped kitchen with dining area - all furnished in the Marchigiana style -, a bathroom with shower and bidet and a large terrace. You can enjoy your meals here in peace and quiet with a marvellous view to the park like garden and over the pool and the hill ranges to the Adriatic Sea.

San Costanzo is only about 3 km away. The contemplative little town with its imposing Malatesta fortress is located between the old Roman town Fano and the famous sea resort Senigallia along the Adriatic Sea. San Costanzo offers all shopping facilities, bars, cafés, restaurants and pizzerias, a post office, a pharmacy, doctors and not at least interesting historic buildings. You still can find here originality and typical Italian flair. To the railway station of Fano it takes you only 15 minutes by car and Ancona Airport is only 45 km away. You can choose as well from the airports Forli, Rimini or Bologna which you reach in 1 - 1,5 hours and meanwhile there are a lot of inexpensive flights to come over here to Le Marche by aeroplane. A change of beach life you will find in all the well restored villages and towns nearby with their markets, festivals and concerts. The local restaurants offer fresh and homemade pastas and delicious meat and seafood specialities.

Location:: San Costanzo with its good shopping is just 3 km away. The romantic village with its imposing Malatesta Fortress is situated between 'Fano', a lovely old Roman town and 'Senigallia', one of the most famous old seaside resorts along the Adria. San Costanzo offers nearly all shopping possibilities, bars, restaurants, banks, a post-office and service stations.

Italian cooking:: Our italian cook is cooking for you 1-2 times a week a typical Marchigian dinner; Sometimes we prepare for our guests pizza in our pizza oven. The dinner is served at the pool or in the church.

Courses:: Cooking, Pottery and Italian Language on Borgo Vecchio only during the Low Season (before 1st of June or after 15th of September). Italian Language Courses : Dante Alighieri School Mondavio (15 minutes by car)- the whole year.

Golf: The next Golf Club: 'Conero Sirolo' near Ancona; 18 + 9 holes, Greenfee: 35 -40 €.

Other Activities: boccia, badminton, volleyball

We arrived after a long drive from Lake Garda and were greeted with friendly smiles and complimentaty drinks from Harry and Ulla by the communal pool. The open-plan apartment had a balcony area where you could eat privately.
The pool was a great antidote to the long sunny days and everyone was friendly. There were several excellent restaurants nearby (frequented by local people) at reasonable prices. As Le Marche is not too touristy I would recommend it. Our trip to Urbino was a highlight and there are also beaches nearby with all facilities. The owners arranged a communal meal for everyone that was a fun experience of food, beers, wines and music. As we had young teenage children we wondered how things would work sharing the pool with others. It worked very well and Harry arranged a darts game in the evening that turned out to a competition between England and Germany! England might win another time.

Das Borgo Vecchio ist von den Besitzern sehr liebevoll restauriert worden und bietet den Urlaubern neben einem erholsamen Aufenthalt auf dem schönen Gelände auch genügend Möglichkeiten in Kontakt mit anderen Gästen zu kommen. Die Besitzer kümmern sich sehr persönlich um die Gäste und geben viele Tipps, Pool und Garten toll und gepflegt, toller Blick,schöne Appartments. In direkter Nähe gutes Restaurant und in der Umgebung viele reizende Orte in schönster landschaft
Owner's Response: In der Regel setzen sich unsere Gäste in den Schulferienmonaten vor allem aus Familien mit Kindern im Alter zwischen 6 und 16 Jahren zusammen.
In der übrigen Zeit kommen hier sehr viele kulturinteressierte und erholungssuchende Paare verschiedener Altersstufen hierher, aber auch junge Paare mit kleineren Kindern.

Wir sind froh, dass die vielen positiven Bewertungen und dieses Jahr nach Borgo Vecchio, einem idyllisch gelegenen Landgut in den Marken geführt haben. Ulla und Harry, die netten "Herbergseltern" gaben uns sofort das Gefühl Willkommen zu sein und hatten zahlreiche Tipps für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen parat. Unsere Fewo und das gesamte Anwesen waren in Top-Zustand. Die Ausstattung nahezu perfekt. An der allseits beliebten Poolbar lernten wir viele nette Leute kennen und es lies sich vortrefflich plaudern. Wer es etwas ruhiger mochte konnte sich im ausgedehnten Areal ein schattiges Plätzchen suchen. Alles in allem ein rundherum gelungener Urlaub. Danke an Ulla, Harry, Paul und alle netten Miturlauber für die schöne Zeit.

ulla und harry kümmern sich sehr aufmerksam um die anfallenden dinge,aber sie geben vor allem ganz persönliche und auch kritische tipps zum sightseeing.harrys fischgerichte mit frischem fisch vom kutter sind legendär gut.die sehr gepflegte anlage ist ein paradies für erholung und ein refugium der ruhe nach ausflügen. fazit: ein sehr empfehlenswerter ort.

Traumurlaub in den Marken!

Wir waren im Sommer 2008 eine Woche auf Borgo Vecchio! Die sehr gepflegte Anlage mit den top ausgestatteten Appartements ist ein Traum. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet wird das Landgut von den Besitzern sehr familiär geführt. Es gab immer viele Infos und Tipps für Unternehmungen aller Art! Ruhetage lassen sich hier besonders gut verbringen. Wer auf eine schöne Unterkunft, nette Menschen und gutes Essen Wert legt, auf Kultur und Sehenswürdigkeiten, sowie auf das Meer nicht verzichten möchte, ist hier genau richtig! Wir waren restlos begeistert und werden auf jeden Fall zu "Wiederholungstätern"!
