The Crown Jewel of Bar Harbor, this former Astor Family Estate is considered the finest rental available in Bar Harbor. Privately and securely situated amidst towering pines, Atlantique sits on 4.3 landscaped acres, 3 of which are oceanfront. Commissioned by John Jacob Astor’s grandson in 1904 during the Golden Era of extraordinary architecture in Bar Harbor, it was designed and built by renowned architect Fred Savage. Atlantique was awarded National Registry status in 1992 by the National Preservation Trust and in 1995 was a Great American Home Award Winner. The grounds of Atlantique are highly landscaped in a Farrand design with 9 flower gardens and a landscaped USGA golf putting green. The totally fenced and gated pine-clad estate is a one minute walk to all town restaurants, and minutes from the Bar Harbor Club, yacht basin, entertainment and shopping.
