Villa Las Palmas is a high-end, luxurious four-bedroom villa which overlooks the 14th hole of P.B. Dye's stunning La Cana Golf Course, and is located in an exclusive, gated community within Puntacana Resort and Club, home to Oscar de la Renta, Julio Iglesius and Mikhail Baryshnikov. This is paradise. The villa is situated on an elevated lot with sweeping views of the golf course from the rear terrace and private 40' x 20' infinity-edge pool with smaller zen pool fountain and cascade. The two main houses are separated by a landscaped walk and garden. Directly adjacent to the master suite is a private stone-walled garden with outdoor shower and handmade tile jacuzzi. The property has exceptional landscaping including 21 coconut palms, 12 foxtail palms, 110 areca palms, birds of paradise, gardenias, ginger, jasmine, and fruit trees. Located 5 minutes from the airport and 3 minutes from the spectacular 3-mile beach and sparkling turquoise waters. Fulltime maid.

Perfection in Paradise

Having recently stayed at Las Palmas, I can testify to its unique charm and exquisite decor. Awaken to the sounds of the wildlife singing, swooping and tapping that latin beat. Feel like a princess with the full service staff constantly attending to your every need. Relax poolside or hit the beach. Ideally suited to people who know how to enjoy themselves.

A Beautiful Place to Stay

I was fortunate enough to stay in this exquisitely designed villa and I cannot wait to get back. I was there with 6 other people and we all had plenty of space to ourselves. The design of the villa is very well thought out for relaxing and entertaining and there is just something about the vibe of the place that is just "right." It is basically brand new, but with it's mix of modern amenities and antique furnishings it has more character than most other places I've stayed. As other reviewers have mentioned, the villa does come with a full service "maid" (hate that word, but that's what she calls herself!) who is lovely. She has breakfast ready in in the morning if you choose to take it and she is very sweet and helpful. The house is also located on one of the more quiet and beautiful holes on the golf course, at an angle that provides a nice view, but no chance of golfers coming too close to hit an errant shot, which is very nice. I recommend a golf cart and a car if you want to get off the Puntacana Resort grounds, although biking through the resort was my favorite way to get around for short trips. The swimming holes in the nature preserve must not be missed, nor should the restaurant at the Marina. My favorite thing was to have a mojito there as the sun was setting in the evening. If you are looking for nightlife or more of the action-type beach activities you are only a short drive to the all-inclusive resort area of Punta Cana, but you avoid the traffic and crowds by being on this part of the island.

An Amazing Experience!

We stayed at Las Palmas for 5 nights and hated to leave! The property was all that the pictures portray and much more. Luxurious, spotless, rich in detail and thoughtfulness - it's obvious that the owners want to provide a pampered experience for their guests. The furnishings are ample and comfortable, as well as lovely to look at. Every amenity is well-planned for the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. The most amazing aspect of this property is it's compatabiility with the outside. The entire back of the house opens to the lovely pool area which overlooks the golf course. It made us feel as though there were two houses; one inside and another outside. The outdoor lighting at night is breathtaking and the sway of the palms is so soothing. While the resort area offers every type of recreation possible, we never got beyond simply walking on the beach, reading by the pool, and long relaxing meals under the stars. The household staff is professional and meticulous in their duties and very solicitious of their guests. the surrounding neighborhood is completely residential which is a pleasant change from the bustle of most resort areas. We enjoyed discovering the shopping areas nearby, the Golf Club pool, beach and restaurant and especially the small, friendly farm where we purchased fresh veggies and herbs that were cut to order as we pointed. This is the perfect spot for couples, families, or friends planning a get-away. You can be as active as you want to be - watersports, golf, horse-back riding and more are all at your fingertips. But the best part is simply relaxing and soaking up the luxury of the home itself. We'll consider ourselves lucky to return someday!

Paradise Found

I just returned from Punta Cana, and I was fortunate enough to stay at this Villa. It is in the " better section " of the resort, surrounded by other multi million dollar properties , yet the casualness and elegance of this villa as well as the surrounding villas was extraordinary. I made lifelong friends with the neighbors , and was invited to dinner parties as well as gold outings and restaurants by the other renters / owners that surround. This villa is large , well laid out , has a magnificent view and , in my opinion , a screaming deal for everything you get along with it. The weather was stable, and the environment like no other. I took my 4 year old daughter , and the housekeeper Rosa ( who comes along with the Villa when you rent ) was so friendly and child focused, she made it a true vacation for me as well. I recommend renting a golf cart as well as a car , because there are so many things to see and do, you will want those. As for the newly built villa, it is poutfitted with things I find extremely important. Commercial kitchen , marble bathrooms , huge showers ,top of the line linens , comfortable mattresses and pillows as well as proper stemware, wine fridge , flat screen tvs in every bedroom as well as a household stereo system that supports ipod. It was pure luxury. I cannot recommend the golf club restaurant highly enough , or the marina restaurant in Punta Cana Resort. Also, a short trip to town provides some local fare and shopping , as well as one of the best pedicures I ever had!! Don't walk, run to your phone to rent this villa. I will definitely stay here again.

My stay at the house, Las Palmas

I just returned from my third trip to Punta Cana, and really enjoyed my stay at Las Palmas Villa. Unlike renting just a house elsewhere, at Punta Cana you are at great resort that has many restaurants and several beaches. There are all kinds of things to take advantage of and enjoy, like sailing and kayaking. We did both. I have always loved the buffet breakfasts at the resort hotel; they are often the best to be had in the Caribbean. I thought I would miss them this time around by staying at a house instead of the hotel. But no, we simply went the to the buffet one morning--thereby having the best of both worlds. Zipping around in the golf cart is fun; the resort has special trails for them. Be sure to swim in the nature preserve fresh water pools. Bring your goggles and your bird book. There were 6 of us this time and we really liked the restaurant and beach at the golf club (this is usually overlooked by the hotel guests) and the more expensive one at the marina.

This is a special home, with a nice blend of antiques and modern. It has a top-of-the-line kitchen equipment. The live-in maid/housekeeper, a delightful woman, is a wonderful cook who is happy to do the laundry. The house overlooks the golf course, which offers a beautiful view. It's relaxing to sit outdoors in the evening, and look up at the night sky. The pool's fountain is lighted and is a delight to sit by, and inside the house (it rained one night), is a special Zen pool area where you can converse (solve the world's problems) after dinner.
