Our beautiful villa lies just a few minutes from the beaches (Cap Chevalier, Cap Macre and Les Salines). It has a private garden, pool, huge terrace and a big living room. It is fully equipped with mostly hardwood furniture and features high speed Internet access (WLAN or via Ethernet), free incoming phones, free local phone calls, satellite TV, a 47' 1080p LCD TV and an audiophile stereo system. It is ideal for a family or one or two couples. The lush, big garden is surrounded by trees and bushes. Depending on the season you can pick your own limes, grapefruits, bananas, passion fruit, prune de cither, papaya, coco nuts, and others with names you probably have never heard of.

The villa is located in the village of Sainte-Anne, Quartier Cap Chevalier, Lotissement 'Les Mahoganies off a rural street from the city centers of Sainte-Anne and Le-Marin to one of the best beaches of Martinique, 'Anse Michel'. Lotissement 'Les Mahoganys' is a small, quiet and safe ensemble of touristic and residential villas. In Martinique, the best beaches are without doubt in the south. All of them, Anse Michel, Les Salines, Cap Macre, and Point Marin are within 5 minutes driving distance. In Martinique, all 'real' beaches are protected and there are no ocean-front buildings by the beaches. Le Marin, by some counts the biggest marina in the Caribbean, is also no farther then 5 minutes as are the restaurants and Club Med in Sainte-Anne.

  • The villa comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 additional children or a family of 6. It is not suited for children that cannot swim because of safety concerns with the pool. We bought and furnished our villa mostly for our own use. We intend to provide a refined level of island-luxury with a real feeling of home for one or possibly two couples or a family of 6.

Notes: Children are more than welcome as long as there is no security concern for the unguarded pool area. The property is - except for the mezzanine - on one level. With a step to the terrace of less than a feet, it is potentially suited for wheelchair access. In Martinique, most dining is done outdoors. The living room is big and provides plenty of entertainment including a video library of 1.5 TB including HD and Blu-Ray movies. The dining area is on the huge terrace. An office is also part of the villa but it will be closed. Also, the is a little, pretty storage cottage next to the pool but it will be closed as well.

Auto: Martinique really requires the use of an automobile; public transportation is bad or non-existent and taxis are expensive. We recommend a rental car. We can arrange for airport transfers and rental cars with a local car rental company. As a special, for a maximum occupancy of two persons, we offer the free use of one of our cars (a small, new FIAT Strada pickup diesel with manual gears.

Getting there: From Europe, there are many daily non-stop flights from Paris Orly and seasonably from Marseilles with Air France, Air Caraibe, or Corseair. Martinique can be reached from the States via Puerto Rico with American Airlines or via Guadeloupe with Air France. From South America there are flights via Cayenne, French Guiana on Air Caraibe. There are some options to fly from Canada non-stop to Guadeloupe and from there with Air France or Air Caraibe to FDF (Martinique). There might be upcoming non-stop flights between Canada (probably Montreal) and FDF. Other Caribbean islands are also connected with non-stop-flights (St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, Dominica). Ferry service exists to Dominica, Guadeloupe, and St. Lucia. Cabin charters on sail-catamarans exist (to St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines).
