If you are looking to connect with nature, the smell and feel of real pine and comfortable furnishings this will be your ideal vacation home. Nestled in the forest, on 5-acres, five minutes away from Flathead Lake and downtown Polson. This beautiful log home backs up to a National Forest with hiking and horse trails. The view from each window is breath-taking with abundant wildlife. Includes Pontoon Boat on Flathead Lake from June 15 - September 15 and is only a 5-mile drive to the boat slip. We rented the log home for Christmas since we had such a great time at the cabin on Deer Island. Doug and Helen make everything so perfect. We drove up to Blacktail Ski Resort and went skiing for the day. Since the kids are from Arizona they had never seen snow. They had a great time! We decided to have an old-fashioned Christmas and cut a fresh green tree from the woods. We decorated it with popcorn, paper snowflakes and angels. Baked cookies and had hot chocolate by the fireplace. The kids made angels in the snow and a snowman with a carrot nose. For presents we found some neat gifts at the local shops in town. The warmth and smell of the log home gave us a true feeling of an old-fashioned Christmas.
