Key Largo holiday townhome

We stayed in this townhouse for 10 nights. The owner seemed nice enough, he was there when we arrived-"cleaning". The community is very nice, the beach very good. This property has not been maintained. There were holes in the walls, mismatched paint on the walls, no toilet paper or trash bags, exposed wires, we found someones dirty clothes in a kitchen cabinet, half the lamps didnt have light bulbs, not a good selection of cooking pans, only two steak knives, 2 of the tv's didnt get reception, living room remote did not work properly and the microwave worked when it wanted to. I would not recommend bringing a small child into this home. Hopefully they have blocked the next three months so they can do some much needed repairs!
also, there were no instructions for check out. we could not lock the door behind us and we only had one key so we left it at the guard shack. unorganized.
I would not recommend this home to anyone, nor would I stay in it again, especially not for the price they are charging. I got it early and when they were having a special that included the "cleaning" fee included, but i would not pay that after being in the property. I emailed the owner after we got home to discuss a few of these issues, but never received a response. We still had a great vacation, hard not to in the keys, but i feel we got a bad deal. Will stay at kawama again!
