Home is about 1500 square feet, set on 10 acres of pasture and woodlands. Carefully decorated for our family—welcoming; seems like home. Knotty pine cabinets and trim with Wood and carpet floors. Gorgeous; private view of the mountains. Very peaceful and somewhat secluded. Lots of wildlife: we see elk, deer, and turkey on the property, and have heard mountain lions, and seen evidence of bear. When in season we have several varieties of visiting hummingbirds. Bring your 4 wheelers, bikes, skies, horses etc: pasture for your horses and horse-back riding available on site. In the winter there is a nearby (5 mile) ski area; ice-skating in the village; tubing and sledding hills on the property. Ruidoso and White Sands are about 40 miles away. Trail maps for hiking and riding in the vicinity, including maps of Lincoln National Forest are available. Restaurant and shopping guide in the village (Cloudcroft, 7 miles away). Golf-course available at the Lodge, great restaurant there!

From Cloudcroft, NM, go east on hwy. 82 to mile marker 23. Turn right on Trimble road and immediately back left on Sullivan Canyon Road. First road to left is Saviour Trail. Go to the end (about ¼ mile) across arroya. Green pipe gate is immediately on right. Long drive and house is back up against the woods. 1/4 mile from Lincoln National Forest. From Artesia, NM go west on hwy. 82 to mile marker 24. Turn left on Trimble Road and immediately back left on Sullivan Canyon Road. First road to left is Saviour Trail. Go to the end (about ¼ mile) across arroya. Green pipe gate is immediately on right. Long drive and house is back up against the woods. 1/4 mile from Lincoln National Forest.

Such a relaxing retreat!

This home is situated on fenced acreage with trees, providing privacy and quiet from traffic and noise, yet just minutes from the small town of Cloudcroft. The kitchen is well equipped. The master bedroom is HUGE with a comfortable king bed. Both bathrooms have a tub/shower combo. The morning sunrise brings spectacular colors to view from the living room and porch. Sip your coffee by the wood fireplace, watch the sunrise and relax! We saw elk and deer right up to the home in the mornings. There are numerous small restaurants in Cloudcroft. Dinner at the historic Lodge was pricey, but the old hotel building was a "must see". Food was good with excellent service. Reservations are recommended-request a table with sunset view. Many hiking trails in the area. Enjoy the outdoors during the day, with the comfort of this true "retreat" waiting for your return!
