Located 10 minutes from the beautiful Maine coastal town of Camden, this quintessential Maine cottage is on one of the most desirable coastal lakes in Midcoast Maine. Three Loon Cottage was completely remodeled in 2008 and is a bright, cheerful respite, far away from your daily worries. The large deck overlooks the lake just a stone's throw away. Wildlife abounds and you can fall asleep to the call of loons and the sound of water lapping against the shoreline. Kayaking, fishing, canoeing and sailing are just a few of the activities that will complete your totally Maine experience. Just 10 minutes away in the towns of Camden, Rockport and Rockland you will discover an abundance of activities such as sightseeing in picturesque harbortowns, attending summer music festivals, antiquing and schooner sailing on Penobscot Bay. The Farnsworth Art Museum, home to the Wyeth family art collection, the Owls Head Transportation Museum and the Midcoast Center for Contemporary Art are highlights.

May 15 The loons are back on the pond and after-winter clean-up is almost complete. With all of the snow and storms that we experienced this winter, there was much tree debris about the cottage. I just hung new window baskets and now that May is half over it is time to plant them as frost is becoming less of a likelihood. The lawn will get its first mowing this week as things are starting to respond to the new 70 degree days that are coming our way. Black flies are out some but being next to the lake keeps them in check. The daffodils and tulips are just finishing up and the weeping willow is leafing out. It won't be long before the all of the snowbirds are back for the spring and summer seasons. JMG
