First experience - nothing short of perfect

Having never used the HomeAway service before I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can tell anyone who is reading this that I was completely satisfied and impressed with the facility. The furnishings were excellent, the rooms were clean, and the condo was every bit as beautiful as the photos on-line. Personally, it was decorated in a style that we loved, so it was just like being at home. We had six people staying there, including four adults and our two children, and never felt crowded or cramped in the condo.
The master bedroom and the family room have a great view of the beach, and the balcony is a great place to sit out during the day or at night and smell the ocean air and listen to the waves come in. Plus, access to the beach could not be better. You come down the elevators, turn left and you're on the beach. No roads to cross or any distance to walk. The beach is beautiful, plenty of space and there are sand bars out in the water that make wading out into the ocean one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a long time.
We brought young children on this vacation, our 3 year old son and 4 year old daughter, and we couldn't have felt more safe having them on that beach. It was not crowded, and the shallow water and sand bars made it easy for them to play in the sand and water.
The pool was a perfect break from the beach when we needed it, centrally located in the complex and adjacent to the beach. Its nothing extravagant, but my little ones loved it.
As far as the location of the complex, we would say that it is quite excellent, particularly if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. Its less than a mile from the outlet mall, a grocery store, the Starbucks, and all the other "important" local stops. There are some excellent beachfront restaurants that are an easy walk from the complex just the road, and it is a short drive to downtown Destin, Destin Commons, a couple nice golf courses and other popular stops.
Lastly, I was impressed with the service. We had one minor issue with the air conditioning, which the building maintenance fixed inside of a day, and the management group was very accommodating.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone - and I can tell you that when I return, I'll be planning to stay here again.
