For a more tranquil adventure you can paddle around the inland waterways of nearby Myakka State Park or the mangrove lined saltwater byways of the Robinson Preserve just off the island. Our next door neighbor Sarasota has the Ringling Museum of Art, Selby Botanical Gardens, Gee Whiz Children's Museum & all the performing arts including theater, symphony, ballet & opera. The Village of the Arts in Bradenton is a quick drive across the bridge as well as the South Florida Museum & Planetarium.
