Enjoy this whimsical and magical 2 bedroom 2 bathroom log cabin located in Banner Elk, NC. It's located less than 8 miles from town and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. You couldn't ask for a better location. Bear Necessity is beautifully decorated with traditional hand-crafted log cabin furniture with some interesting and unique details throughout. There is a King Size Bedroom with a private bathroom and a bedroom with 2 twin beds with a full bathroom. There is also a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked and enough seating for 6. On those cold winter nights, you can relax and snuggle up to the romantic gas burning fireplace while eating popcorn and watching your favorite movie on the satellite TV. You will also enjoy a friendly competitive game of pool, Foosball, or air hockey from the 3-in-1 game table. Relax in the large 6 person hot tub on the back deck after a long day of skiing, hiking, or shopping. The ultimate retreat!!

My boyfriend and I shared a wonderful getaway in this cabin. It was beautifully built and was clean and well-maintained. Everything was just as described and other than the fact that we couldn't get the NASCAR race on TV we had everything else that we could possibly need. Fortunately, there was a sports bar a short drive away so we spent the night out. It was close to all the attractions yet private enough for the perfect romantic retreat. We had a great time touring the surrounding area and would highly recommend this cabin to all.
