Welcome to Phoenix! Our home is named for the Phoenix, a legendary firebird that dies in flames and is resurrected from the ashes. Phoenix was built on the foundation of a log home that had burned to the ground a year earlier. What a miraculous transformation! Our brand new log home is built entirely from wood cut and milled locally by artisans, whose skills have been passed down from generation to generation. Pine, fragrant Cedar, Poplar and Oak greet you from floor to ceiling. A drive of approximately 45 miles will get you to Asheville, Gatlinbug, Pigeon Forge, DollyWood, the Smoky Mountain National Forest and other popular vacation destinations. Hot Springs, NC with the 100 year old spa and hot springs is 15 miles. Find antique shops along the routes in every direction. You can visit all these wonderful places, then escape to the mountains and rural Tennessee, where there are more animals than people.

Winter is cold, dusting the mountains with snow. Spring offers mountains covered in Red Bud and Dogwood. Summer is warm in the day and cool at night with lightning bugs sparking the pasture. Fall offers an explosion of color when the trees change.

  • The downstairs master bedroom is rustic, spacious, complete with a full bath. The king size log bed was made by local artisans. It has a chaise lounge in one corner that makes a cozy reading spot. There are French doors that lead to the large porch providing easy access to the 5 person hot tub. There is a television and DVD player for those who like to unwind right before bed. It's a slumber party in the bunk room. Two beautiful rustic log bunk beds with colorful quilts will welcome children and adults alike. There is a television with DVD player to keep the kids happy. The bath that is enjoyed by the bunk room also has access from the great room. This bath has a claw foot tub and a sink in a whisky barrel! The entire upstairs is the master suite. Lots of windows afford a 180 degree birds eye view of the mountains. The bedroom and large bath is frilly with lace and Tiffany lamps. Close the doors, soak in the whirlpool tub or relax in front of the large roaring fireplace.

Notes: When you enter the home you are welcomed into a large great room filled with comfortable couches and leather recliners. The decor is a little bit western. There is a large stone gas fireplace that is the focus of the room. On either side are French doors which allow for an incredible view of the mountains and hilltops. There is a large plasma television for movie watching after the sun goes down. We have stocked the home with some old westerns for your enjoyment. The satellite TV reception offers XM radio or the stereo offers a cradle for you iPod. The well stocked rustic kitchen has every convenience, from microwave to gas stove, to gourmet cookware.

This beautiful, 2500 square foot log cabin sits atop a hill surrounded by 8 fenced acres of pasture. The view from the 10 foot wrap around porch is incredible. East you view the little resort, with a large horse pasture in between. Get up early for sunrise, have your coffee on the porch where even in the summer there is a cool breeze. Herds of horses frolic in the cool, moist morning. West you view rolling hills, multiple pastures and the majestic Smoky Mountains. You might see a horse running through the top pasture, a herd of black cows lolling away the afternoon or the most beautiful sunset ever. This is the ultimate Smoky Mountain Cabin for you, your family and your pets.

The place is wonderful. Everything is so beautiful. It was a very relaxing place to be - away from all the hustle and bustle of town. We are already looking forward to next year.

We loved this cabin, very nice! We really had a great time and loved the view. If you want to relax and kick back this is a great place to be. We are ready to go back.
