La Sienna is a beautifully furnished Guesthouse located on West 123rd Street in a sunny prewar brownstone. During the summer months our front entrance will greet you with a beautiful display of Rose trees, Lavendar and climbing Mandellas. In the fall you will be greeted with beautiful green foliage. Our lobby will peak your senses with our seasonally scented candles. We personally greet every guest that arrives and provide them with a clean and serene setting. Completely private yet we have a caretaker who will provide you with the upmost service. Our towels are soft and fluffy and our linens are soft and washed in a subtle lavender/ vanilla scented detergent. Our soft knitted blanket will remind you of Grandma. La Sienna is very secure with a 24 hour security camera and a part-time inhouse caretaker. We also have brochures to guide you in the right direction. We look forward to welcoming you into our Guesthouse.

Features: This beautiful studio is located on West 123rd Street between 7th & 8th Ave. This studio has a southern exposure and is located on the first floor of a prewar brownstone with original details. The building is very clean, quiet and has a serene atmosphere. 10' high tin ceilings with a ceiling fan and 9' original mirror. Owner lives on the premises and we have an evening caretaker. We offer TIVO so you won't miss out on any of your favorite soap operas or TV shows. We offer free coffee, tea, goodies and a fresh warm flavored cupcakes (you may be dreaming about them once you leave here). We are located two blocks away from the Apollo theatre and a few block from Sylvia's famous restaurant. 125th Street offers many shopping stores and street vendors along with the famous Clinton office located in the State Office Building. We are one stop from 59th Street Columbus Circle which has the most incredible shopping stores and restaurants in one mall. We are mins. from Central Park.

Availability and Rates: Due to the recession our rate has been reduced to $110 per night regardless if it is peak, off peak or a holiday. There are no hidden costs. $100 deposit is required to book studio which is done through Paypal and balance is due upon arrival.

Travel: We are located in the heart of harlem. 10 min train ride (one stop) to 59th street Columubus Circle. 12 min to all major Broadway plays. Two blocks from the Apollo theater. South Street Seaport and the financial district is about 15-20 min away. La Guardia - The M60 bus (40 min ride) will take you from LaGuardia to West 125th. $2.00 per ride JFK - The A train will take you to West 125th Street. $2.00 per ride Newark - NJ transit approx $25 plus to 34th Street and NY subway ride to 125th Street. $2.00 per ride Taxi - The taxi to all 3 airports average about $60 to $75 per ride. Car - Not necessary or convenient in New York City. Make sure you purchase a Weekly Unlimited Metrocard pass before you travel on any buses or subway. This will allow you to travel unlimited for one price. This will include fare to and from the airport. This is a major savings.

After reading the description and positive reviews of this property we had no nasty surpises: La Sienna was a perfect base for our 8 days in NYC. The friendlyness and hospitality of Yvette and the attendant certainly exeeded all our expectations! The two times we asked for something is was promptly delivered and several times we were given delicious cakes.
A major asset of this place is the short distance to 125th Street, where express trains of all subwaylines stop, as well as to Central Park and Columbia University. We were fascinated to experience the change going on in Harlem and always felt safe, also late at night, walking back from the subway.
We would certainly reccommend La Sienna to friends.

The owner was amazingly kind, and everything needed for a comfortable stay, was supplied (even an umbrella and an iron!). I would definitely go back, I don't see how a hotel could be better.

Per la nostra prima volta a New York non potevamo trovare un posto migliore! Accogliente e discreto La Sienna si è rivelato il luogo ideale dove soggiornare. Completo di tutti i confort, servito da ben 6 linee della metropolitana, in 2 stazioni raggiungibili in pochi minuti a piedi. Gestito dalla gentile e simpatica Yvette, vi sentirete come a casa! Lo consigliamo a tutti...Barbara e Massimo

Great Stay in Harlam

We spent quite a while shopping around for somewhere to stay in New York and were so happy here! From the hot muffins when we arrived to the late checkout for our flight, we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Yvette is lovely, proffessional and genuine. The room we stayed in had a real warmth to it. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen well equipped and everything was clean. The room also had a lovely smell that we enjoyed coming home to after a long day sightseeing . We would recommend this apartment to anyone, especially at such a good price for New York.

Wow

So, I travel every week and I have stayed in hundreds of places, from dumps to 5-star hotels. I now, I am doing something I have never done...write a review. This place and Yvette were wonderful! I hesistant to write something because I want to use it again but here it is. The place was very clean, comfortable and I felt the comforts of home. Here was the big wow; on my last night there at about 11pm I happend to see Yvette taking out her trash. She asked me how things were and if I would suggest she make any changes. In passing I said a face would be nice next time (since I was leaving in several hours I did not expect much from it). Much to my surprise, when I returned there was a nice bag on the door with a fresh face towel. When I come back I will certainly be staying here!
