2009 up and down Duplex rental at the quiet, south end of Long Beach Island. Please note that this home is a Duplex. There is a 1st floor and a 2nd floor unit. This home is 2 houses from the beach and about 6 houses from the bay. To get to the beach, you just walk past 1 house, then turn right or left on the blvd, go a short block and the beach access ramp is right there! It is cheerful and bright and very comfortable. There is ample parking space on both sides and in front of the house--it is Not up against the neighboring homes. Rental period is from Sunday to Sunday. Avoid the Saturday rush! Once at your house, you will find that you are in the quietest area on Long Beach Island. In 10 years we have never had a problem with unruly tenants or noise on the street. Because we are a few miles from the busiest shopping area on the island (Beach Haven), partiers generally don't rent down here. What you will find are families and home owners.

Activities and Attractions : It's an easy walk to the wildlife refuge area at the end of the island, where you will also find a deli. Bay Village (the main shopping area on the island) is a short 3-mile drive or bike ride. Fantasy Island amusement park and video game arcade is right next to Bay Village, as is Thundering Surf water park. There are many restaurants-plain and fancy- in the area. Two bike and home rental stores are a short trip down the boulevard.

Travel to the far north end of the island to see ''Old Barney'' , the lighthouse and climb up for a grand view of the bay and ocean. Also at the north end is the fishing community. You can take a party boat out fishing - day or night - or charter one with a captain for your group. Buy your fish for dinner at one of the stores that offer right-off-the-boat catches. On Friday mornings in the summer, arrange to join the tour of the fishing facilities and hear stories of the sea. Viking Village is a unusual, old shopping area right next to the fishing boats.
