If you’re going to come to Key West, why not stay right in the middle of it all? “Top o' the Copa” is located on the site of the famous Copa Nightclub, and as soon as you walk in, you’ll realize that the designer of this home has retained the spirit of the original Copa. The vaulted ceiling is almost fifteen feet high, with a wall of windows facing a 600 square foot deck. There’s plenty of room to entertain, indoors or out. The kitchen is equipped with top of the line appliances and everything you would need to prepare some serious meals. This beautiful second floor penthouse (over the Wyland Gallery) is right on upper Duval Street, and you’ll be steps from the best restaurants and all of Key West’s most exciting attractions. The beach is less than a mile away, or you can sunbathe in complete privacy on your own enormous deck. There’s a second half bath (with a washer and dryer) just off the deck.

Accommodations...: With two convertible sofas and two recliners, the living accommodations will be comfortable for everyone. And there’s a 42' high definition flat screen TV for those times when you just want to chill. The sleeping area with its queen bed can be made private if you have additional guests (both of the sofas fold out to become very comfortable beds), or you can draw back the floor-to-ceiling curtains and enjoy all that extra space. The nearby 'Southernmost House' has a beautiful pool area and pool bar. You can spend the day at the pool for just $15 per son, which includes towels and a chaise; or you can go to the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor Park. EIther way, it's just a short walk.

We loved the location as we could walk to both the gulf or the ocean from this central location. We were not bothered by any late night noise which you might think would be the case on Duval Street. The photos were accurate and we would recommend this property with a few provisos. The deck must be wonderful in the winter, but in the summer it is so hot it is almost unusable and beware of all the pigeon poop that drops on the deck at the center set of french doors in the living room.
We loved Louie's Backyard and Cafe Marquesa for special dinners.
Owner's Response: We have plans to add more umbrellas so the deck is more shady in the summer, and have taken steps to keep the pigeons from sitting on the sill above the french doors.
