Just a short ride from the marina you are in the bay,a fabulous place to watch the sunset. After the sun goes down,head back in into the lagoon and watch many species of birds coming to spend the night on their favorite island.From the birds heaven you are only minutes away from many great waterfront restaurants. Have the captain drop you at your favorite.If golfing is your sport,the world renowned Grand Bay golf course is just across the water from Villa Santa Barbara.Barra is also famous for surfing and there is a different nearby beach everyday. There are places to go dancing and many local talented people perform around town. Barra has the best sunsets as well and many great places to watch the sun go down

A different Beach everyday!: Barra has a great sandy beach,famous for surfing.On the other side of he Bay is the Village of Melaque,about a $5 cab ride where you can get everything you need. There are many shops,eateries and artisans as well.The next Bay is Guastacomate where there is a great black beach.Up the coast about 20 minutes is La Manzanilla where you can walk forever on a hard packed sandy beach with only a handful of people on it most of the time.The next bay is Tanacatita,very calm and there is great snorkeling there and many good restaurants.
