My overall impression is one of dissapointment.
When we arrived, our entire party was drenched by automated sprinklers located next to the front door in such a position that they could not be avoided. We were locked out of the home for about one hour while four 5-year olds screamed out their displeasure. The 5 digit code to the lock box had been changed without our knowledge. All 4 adults in our group and several of the children attempted to input the code without success. My attempts to reach both the owner and Florida Leisure were unsuccessful. After about an hour of attempting to Email and text message the owner, I received a reply with a new and incorrect code. Finally, after the third text, I received the correct code.
The layout of the home was exactly as promised. It was both spacious and comfortable.
Several of the promised amenities were not available. The master suite did not have a 26" flat screen TV. Instead it had a small 19" TV. The 26" flat screen TV was now in the living room instead of the 41" flat screen TV that had been promised. This was a great disapointment to me when I watched the Packers play the Vikings on Monday Night Football. Additionally, many of the remote controls did not work. Then there is the "game room" which we called the "lame room." The "game room" was a garage with a fussball table and nothing else.
When we arrived, we learned that the pool heater was not working. Despite the high temperature outside, the pool water was quite cold and uncomfortable, and the hot tub was obviously not hot. This was repaired on our last full day at the house.
On our third day there, the air conditioning broke. The heat was 95 degrees F (35 degrees C) effectively turning the house into an oven. I learned that there had been a similar problem the week before that had not been correctly repaired. After a hot, mostly sleepless night, the air conditioning was repaired the next day. The kitchen was advertised as fully equipped, it was not. There was a good selection of dishes and glasses but not much in the was of pots and pans.
The management company was apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned about the troubles we experienced. Having said that, no credit, discount, or rebate has ever been offered for the problems we experienced and the amenities that were not delivered. We saved our money for a long time to make this vacation special. It is unlikely that we would rent this location again.
