Our well-manicured and newly renovated ***house is located in a completely quiet and idyllic area at the edge of the forest on an altitude of approximately 800 m with a terrific view o the Bavarian Forrest’s crest. Our detached ***house offers room for 2 up to 25 people and features 8 separate double bedrooms with additional beds, two living rooms, 5 bathrooms, 4 completely equipped kitchens, a large common room with seating facilities for up to 25 people, protected west and south terrace and west and south balcony, dishwasher and washing machine. Built side-to-side with the house is our pristine ‘Bärwurzstüberl’ with a tiled stove.

Our holiday house is pristinely arranged. A lot of natural wood was used here. The house features 8 separate double bedrooms with additional beds, two large and cosy living/ bedrooms, 4 spacious and completely equipped breakfast kitchens, each with dining area and lounge, a spacious common room with 25 seating facilities, 5 bathrooms with shower/toilet respective bathtub, dishwasher and washing machine as well as balcony and terrace.

Our 3* holiday house is located between Viechtach and Bodenmais. Hiking trails start from the house. Mountainbiking is also possible starting from the house. The cross-country ski run passes the house as well. The winter sport regions Str. Englmar or the ‘Große Arber’ are comfortably available in approximately 15 minutes.

State-approved climatic spa: The state-approved climatic spa of Viechtach is one of the most popular holiday resorts of the Bavarian Forest. At the large pole amidst terrific scenery the heated outside swimming-pool is situated. Athletic guests have tennis courts, as well as complexes for miniature golf, bowling and summer curling at their command, as well as a horseback-riding school. Who would like to, can ride a boat and go fishing on the 6 km long Höllensteinsee lake, the Bavarian pike lake. Hike in the forest or to farmed cottage at the top of the Kronberg mountain. A stuffed event calendar is provided. Being able to do everything but not being obliged to do anything.

Adventure: Flying becomes a breeze, the paraglider will take you over hills and valleys of the forest. Adventure playground for the young and young at heart in accord with nature. Build a cottage like Robinson Crusoe – with the simplest instruments. The waters are waiting to be overcome: not only by canoeing at the ‘Schwarzer Regen’, but also by fishing.

Ski: You will enjoy our beautiful winter forest! Immediately nearby our house the long cross-country ski run proceeds.. The Ski paradise St. Englmar and the big Arber (with the only 6-er cable car of the the Bavarian forest) are the two designated places that make alpine lover's hearts beat faster.

Hatten eine tolle Woche,da wir ungestört tun und lassen konnten was
wir wollten.Durch den Garten und das angrenzende Feldstück ideal
für Familien mit Kindern. Ausstattung ist sehr gut.Besonders gemütlich
ist das Frückstücks/Esszimmer da Platz für mindestens 20 Personen
ist.

Ich kann das Ferienhaus Gierl gerade für Urlaube mit größeren Gruppen oder, wie wir, mit mehreren Familien, nur empfehlen.
Die Kinder und auch die Erwachsenen haben jede Menge Platz und zu erleben gibt es auch wirklich viel !!
Wir kommen gerne wieder !!

Familientreffen im Bayerwald

Wir waren zu einem Familientreffen mit 12 Erw., 4 Kind. und 1 Hund im Haus Gierl und total begeistert. In der großen Küche (Parterre) konnten wir zusammen kochen, im Wohnzimmer haben wir gegessen und abends gemütlich zusammen gesessen. Die Bauernstube haben wir für das Frühstücksbuffet und kleinere Plauschrunden am Abend genutzt. Wollte jemand mal Ruhe haben, so konnte er sich in seine Fewo zurückziehen. Zwecks Kühlung haben wir zusätzlich den Kühlschrank in der anderen Fewo im Erdgeschoss benutzt. Geschirr, Besteck und Gläser sind ausreichend in der großen Küche vorhanden. Einzig richtige Weingläser fehlten uns für die große Menge an Weintrinkern. Aber dieses Problem haben wir gelöst und im Schnäppchenmarkt Weinfurtner Glasdorf eingedeckt. Die Abbildung der Räumlichkeiten im Internet ist identisch mit der vor Ort, wobei noch erwähnt werden sollte, dass Wohnung IV über 2 Etagen geht, d.h. große Wohnküche, Bauerstube, Wohnzimmer und 1 Bad liegen im Parterre und die Schlafzimmer im 1. Stock. Wohnung I (2 Schlafzimmer, Bad, Küche) befindet sich dafür komplett im Erdgeschoss, was besonders vorteilhaft ist für diejenigen, die keine Treppen steigen wollen. Auch die riesengroßen Balkone haben uns begeistert – hier hatten wir die Biergarnituren stehen und trotzdem war immer noch ausreichend Platz für Stühle zum Lesen, etc. Unsere beiden Kleinsten (2 ½ J) waren von dem Spielzimmer ganz besonders begeistert – hier gibt es wirklich alles was das Kinderherz begehrt.
Das Haus selbst liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Für Ausflüge braucht man auf jeden Fall das Auto – Rad- und Wanderungen sind aber von Haus Gierl aus möglich. Wir haben Ausflüge zur Sommerrodelbahn. Tierpark, Haus der Wildnis, Radtour (ca. 40 km ab/bis Ferienhaus), Weinfurtner Glasdorf (wunderschöne Parkanlagen) gemacht sowie einen Skitag auf dem großen Arber. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und wir konnten alle Fragen im Vorfeld abklären. Auch der Getränkeservice ist super – wir haben von zu Hause per Fax bestellt und die Getränke standen bei Abreise bereits vor der Tür. Den Brötchenservice haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen, da nur 2 x wöchentl..und die Brötchen selbst geholt – nächster Bäcker in Arnsbruck, aber uns haben die Brötchen vom Bäcker in Viechtach besser geschmeckt. Große Lebensmittelläden, wie Edeka Aldi und Lidl sind in Arnsbruck und Viechtach zu erreichen.
Fazit: Haus Gierl ist optimal für unser Familientreffen gewesen!

Gelungene Geburtstagsparty

Wir mieteten mit 14 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern dieses schöne Ferienhaus für ein Wochenende. Das extra Spielzimmer wurde von den Kinder sehr geschätzt. Das ganze Haus war gepflegt, sauber und gut ausgestattet.
Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter war sehr gut. Alle Fragen im Vorfeld wurden umgehend beantwortet. Auch die Abwicklung und Abrechnung vor Ort waren tadellos (Kaution gab es auch gleich bei der Abreise zurück).
Die Darstellung im Internet stimmt in allen Bereichen mit der Realität überein.
Wir hatten viel Spaß und kommen gern wieder.
Vielen Dank der netten Gastgeberfamilie.
