Monarca is a Five Star Condominium Complex located on Ixtapa (Palmar) Beach. This condo is extremely roomy and comfortable with a huge deck looking toward the beach. Included in your amenities is a Private Beach Club where you may have breakfast, lunch, or dinner by the beach. Attendants are there to take your drink orders whether you are lounging by the pool, or on one of the private chaise lounges reserved for residents and guests on the palm lined beach. You may see the dolphins playing in the surf, or watch a magnificent sunset against a sky painted with pinks and blues as you end another wonderful day in Paradise. Discover terrific restaurants in Ixtapa (a five minute walk to downtown). Note: you can walk pretty much everywhere in Ixtapa day or night without fear. Of course, no place is 'sterile' of crime, but everyone feels very safe here in our town (locals and tourists alike). You might also plan a short ten minute cab ride to Zihuatanejo-the grown up fishing village.

Ixtapa is one of the few Fonatur developed and maintained Mexican Riviera Resorts. It is one of the last of the Mexican Riviera Resorts which is not overgrown and overbuilt. It is a resort, yet, it still has a small town atmosphere. This is what draws people to favor this town over all other resorts to which they have traveled in Mexico. It has beautiful vistas, excellent restaurants, clean and beautiful beaches, championship golf courses, and is safe and secure. Just a five minute drive over the hill is the 'grown up' fishing village of Zihuatanejo. Charming, indigenous community with wonderful restaurants, Internationally acclaimed sport fishing, and interesting Centro Mercantile Area for shopping.

Second Bedroom has Queen Trundle Beds (second Queen rolls out from under when needed- otherwise is stored under main bed to preserve floor space). Also, second bedroom has built-in desk for letter writing or other needs. All bedrooms have plenty of closet and shelf space for hanging and folding clothes. Gourmet coffee, creamer, sugar, and Splenda are provided for your convenience. Kitchen has coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, convection oven, and large refrigerator/freezer. Also, there are pots and pans, Corningware, Tupperware, and cooking utensils. There are a can opener and wine opener provided also. You have a new Flat Screen TV on cable (with most channels in English), and a DVD/CD player. It plays movies through the TV also. You can bring a USB memory stick with music also- MP3 format.

Notes: Large White Beach Towels are provided at the Private Beach Club. Inside Towels are not supposed to be taken outside. You can get each Towel for 10 pesos (approx. 70 cents at the current exchange rate) and keep it for your stay (washer/dryer is on the Terrace), or turn it in for a clean towel for 10 pesos each time. The Monarca has elevators so you do not have to climb stairs unless you want to. There are also tennis courts for the owners and guests- there is no charge for use, unless you use the lights at night (there is a small charge for use of the lights). Most of the owners at the Monarca are wealthy Mexicans who normally only visit once or twice a year during the major holidays (or during the summer when schools are out). These owners typically do not rent their condos, therefore, this complex has a very residential feel to it because it is never crowded except for Christmas week, New Years week, and Semanta Santa (around Easter). It is very quiet, and private.

Rental Rate Details and Airport Pickup : I manage several vacation rental condos in various sizes and price ranges in the area. Charges will be similar to, or less than cab or limo service and we will deliver you to your door.

Arrival Options: We offer the service of stocking your kitchen or refrigerator with items you specify (cereal, milk, beer, snacks, etc.) to make your vacation more convenient. You do not have to spend half of your first day searching for the market and then hauling back your supplies to the condo. We can shop for your requested items and have them waiting for you when you arrive! The service charge is dependent upon the extent of the shopping- we will quote you in advance for the service charge if you wish to exercise that option.

Housekeeping Service: You are provided a mid-week housekeeping service with a one week rental at no additional charge. If you wish additional housekeeping service, we will attempt to schedule that for you (the charge is usually under $25 USD).
