Elegant 1-bedroom,1-bath casita, ideal for a luxurious, relaxing getaway. The bedroom has a king-size bed with American pillow-top mattresses and fine imported linens, a desk, built-in bookcase, and his and hers closets. The bedroom also has a gorgeous old-world shutter that you can open to watch TV from bed. The living area includes a scrumptious down-filled sofa, a gas fireplace and a flat-screen TV with American satellite service. The dining area overlooks the living area (so you can watch TV while you eat!) and includes a small table and two oversize, super-comfy leather armchairs. The kitchenette is complete with all the appliances and accessories needed to cook at 'home.' There is a private stairwell to a luscious, private rooftop terrace with fountain, dining table and 2 chaise lounges. The casita is located on the first floor of eastern wing of a large, private home - it has a private entrance around the corner from the main house entrance.

I have stayed in San Miguel on several occasions and have seen several more accomodations. This charming retreat beats them all. I like to have the comforts of home when I'm on vacation and this well-designed rental combines charm with touches you'd be more familiar with in a 4-star hotel. Firstly, everything was immaculately clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I travel quite a bit and almost always end up having back trouble, but not here. Linens and towels were high quality. There are too many great things to mention. High on my list is the amazing patio with fountain.

This place is perfect for 1 or two people and would make a very romantic vacation complete. Everything looks even better than the photos show. Wireless and dependable internet, beautiful bath/shower, satellite tv and a QUIET neighborhood! I stayed closer to the center last year and had a hard time sleeping with all of the church bells ringing through the night. I had the most restful sleep I've ever had in SMA. It's about a 15 min walk to the town center and there are great things to explore nearby and along the way. If you like pastries, there's a pasteleria just around the corner near the small park. If you like cheese, visit La Luna de Queso not far away.

Lisa was very responsive and a pleasure to work with in planning my stay. I hope to come back to stay here every year. This place is truly a unique find!
