Notes: Our home is well stocked with everything you may need in order to have a fantastic vacation. Large open spaces, a great infinity pool, beautiful gardens, etc. But I think that our best feature are our care takers which have been with us for more than 15 years. George and Juana are a couple who live at the premises in their own home and look after the home and our guests. Juana is a great cook specializing in seafood dishes and bbq's and Jorge makes a killer ceviche! They are both warm and welcoming and will cater to your needs. They are there to pamper you, so you are not renting an empty home with no one to help you, this is a great advantage and perk. You can see George in one of the photos fishing right outside the home. My partners and I are real estate investors from California looking for investment opportunities in tropical locations like Nicaragua. We have been to Nicaragua several times and we love it. During our recent trip we were fortunate enough to come accross this home because we had a terrific time. The service and the house are truly one of a kind. Andre, the owner calls it paradise and I tend to agree.The house is comfortable, the view is spectacular and Jorge and his wife Juana treated us like royalty. Next time we are in town we will not hesitate to stay here again. By the way, thank you very much for the grilled lobsters "al ajillo" Juana!

I stayed at this property with my husband, 2 daughters (4 yrs old and 1 yr old) and my mother and father-in-law for 2 weeks. It was the perfect place for our needs and definitely exceeded our wants. There are 3 separate buildings, one is the outdoor living area with the kitchen and dining room and the other 2 are the individual living quarters. One has one bedroom and a full bath and the other has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. It gave everyone their individual space when needed. The pool is small and has a large step that spans most of the perimeter, perfect for small kids learning to swim and adults wanting to relax. The view to the ocean is great from the pool, patio and the bedrooms. The beach is practically private and you have a great vantage point to watch the fishing boats going out and coming in everyday. Juanita and Jorge, the full-time caretakers will give you regal treatment! Jaunita's cooking is like no other and Jorge takes great care of the property. Jorge will get fresh fish right off the boats for you in the morning so that you can have it for dinner. We had the best lobster and actually had it 3 times over the course of 2 weeks, since we loved the way Juanita prepared it. We met a man in Granada, a two hr drive from Masachapa, and he told us that Masachapa is "raw Nicaragua." I would agree, it is a small fishing town that has not been affected or touched yet by tourism and you get to see the normal way of life for people in this town. The caretakers, Juanita and Jorge and the owner, Andre, all went out of their way to make our vacation wonderful. Andre met us at the airport, assisted with getting our rental car, took us grocery shopping to get our food for the 2 weeks and called throughout our stay to check on us. Great service and a beautiful property. We cannot recommend this vacation home enough!

Loved our time at this house

I stayed at this house in February 2009 with my wife, mother in law and two children (aged 3 and 5). We all loved it and had a great time.

The design of the house comprises three buildings (one with two bedrooms, one with one bedroom and a living/dining/kitchen building). The buildings are set in a U shape facing the garden, pool and ocean. The garden is beautiful, with several amazing smelling flowering bushes. The layout gives you a great mix of privacy and together time.

The property is very spacious, clean, peaceful and private. The house was fully equipped (towels, bedding, all the kitchen gadgets you would need to make a gourmet meal, playthings for the kids) There are chickens (fresh eggs for breakfast!) that the children loved to chase around the large garden.

One of the best things was the two staff members who live on site. They took great care of us, going far beyond expectations to make ceviche and cook and serve all of our meals. They were also great with our children, letting them play with their pet birds.

The surrounding area is very quiet, but you can walk to a town about 10 minutes away where there are some shops, restaurants and hotels.

The ocean is great - there are waves but not huge (our kids could swim on their own) and no undertow.
