Would not recommend!

We had booked this residence from October 7 to October 14. (I'm writing this from a hotel we relocated to). We lasted two days and would have left after one day if we could have found an alternative place to stay fast enough. To say we felt this advertisement was misleading would be an understatement. This house is not located in a nice area, nor is there literally anything of interest in this area. I even asked locals in stores, and I was told more than once basically, 'there's nothing to do here'. We couldn't even find a nice restaurant and had to settle for a fast food restaurant. My wife did not feel safe going out in the evening nor was it honestly an area you'd have a desire to go for an evening walk in. There is definitely no beach within 2 miles either and the airport is not 5 miles away. We contacted the home owner to express our concerns and our desire to find another place to stay right away. Unfortunately, getting responses was, and has been difficult.
We were very disappointed in how our complaint was handled, whereas we felt the honourable thing to do would be to return rental fees not used, particularly since they came from a collective opinion of extreme dissatisfaction. This experience pretty much ruined our entire vacation.
We had given the home owner his full asking price (including a refundable security deposit) and we were in the home for less than 48 hours. As it stands right now, our security deposit has been returned, but nothing of the rental money even though we paid for seven days and could only last two.
On the plus side, the pool and backyard is nice (although the pool floaties, etc. were all dirty) and the house is not too bad. The area again however, doesn't say 'vacation' at all. I would not be able to recommend this property to a friend or relative due to what we feel is a very unrepresentative advertisement.
Owner's Response: Some travelers have a secretary to do the shopping for them and they're wives to fix details.
but if you look personally into our property description , you get what you bargain for.
Since our house is not located on the beach , on the website we recommend to have a car , otherwise you will be disappointed , Florida has lots of attractions but a car is necessary.
Regarding the area you have to be open minded since our neighborhood is family oriented and a mixture of all Nationalities.

We know all our neighbors and we have a dog that we walk religiously 3 times a day at every hour of the day/night and never felt uncomfortable.
