Escape into nature and the peace and quiet of the forest in this cozy cabin nestled within the pines . Enjoy the trees, rock outcroppings , and views from the 1000 sq ft of decking. This unique tri level cabin is within minutes of Pactola Lake where you can enjoy boating, fishing, and beaches. Edelweiss Mountain is conveniently located in the Central Black Hills. To the south we are just 15 miles to Hill City, Mt Rushmore and Keystone. Just add 15 miles and you are at Crazy Horse Memorial & Custer State Park. Historic Deadwood and Lead are to the North 35 miles, where you can enjoy Las Vegas style gambling and the Old West. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is just 15 miles more and Rapid City is only 25 miles away . You can't lose on our views, we are located at 5800 ft elevation .

This cabin is centrally located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We are just a couple of miles from Pactola Lake which highlights beaches, fishing and boat rentals. Other attractions include horse back riding, chuck wagon suppers, the Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, The Cosmos, and Bear Country USA to name just a few. Don't miss the 1880 Train which departs from Hill City and takes a 2 hour trip to Keystone for a trip back in time. A visit to Wild Bill Hickock's grave in Deadwood, SD is a must which also features slot machines and Las Vegas style gambling at the card tables!

We expect that anyone renting our cabin will treat it with care as well as respect the furnishings in the home. We are very respectful members of the Edelweiss Mountain homeowners association. We only want renters who will also hold high regard for the beauty and serenity of our hidden little community.

Black Hills Vacation: We invite you to spend your next vacation at our cabin. Whether it's for a week or a few days . Our cabin offers some of the most breathtaking scenery and relaxing atmosphere found anywhere. Edelweiss Mountain is a gated community assuring you of privacy .

Cancellation Policy: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty except if deposits were made via credit card. All credit card cancellations are subject to a 5% cancellation fee or $50.00, which ever is greater. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay , that are made within 60 days of the arrival date , forfeit the full advance payment less the $200 damage deposit.

Perfect getaway

Our vacation was wonderful at the cabin; it was a beautiful getaway from the everyday hussle and bussle. The eminity were great everything you could ever ask for and more. Funny story don't always follow the GPS, we got stuck on a no maintenance road coming back one day but it safely got us back to the cabin in one piece with a long detour, stay with the original directions. I would recommend to anybody. Thank you for the wonderful experiece.

We Loved This Place!

We stayed at this cabin/home last week when we visited SD for the first time and we loved it! The pictures on the website dont do it justice. The directions were very good. We would definitely recommend this property to someone else. We may be back there again in a couple years for another visit! And thanks for the bottle of wine.

Could it be More Perfect? I Think Not

This property was clean, extremely well equipped, and absolutely delightful. There are tons of things to do in the Black Hills, to be sure. But even if there weren't, this would be an ideal vacation spot. Very quiet and peaceful. Just bring some grub, and you're set. We had dinner at the cabin every night after dragging our grandsons all over the Hills all day. A very relaxing place to end a day of hectic sight-seeing.

It is a bit of a trek from the highway, but for us that added to the charm. The property is centrally located in the Black Hills, so access to any and all attractions was easy and relatively quick.

There are multiple TV sets at the property. Next time we may even turn one on....... maybe. We played board games every night (they are also supplied), so TV was an unnecessary distraction.

We would whole-heartedly recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a relaxing getaway in beautiful surroundings. Anyone that can negotiate a narrow spiral staircase, that is.

The owners were so easy to deal with that we will even give them credit for the weather. It was perfect.

The only downside to the whole experience was leaving.

Peaceful Pinetop Cabin

The Pinetop Cabin was very peaceful with very comfortable furnishings. The couches, beds and the wonderful rocking chair were all graded an "A".The attractions in the Black Hills were all fairly close by. The Cabin was well supplied and clean. Our only dislike was the stairs, which the Cordell's told us about before we rented. Truly beat staying in a Motel! We loved South Dakota!....Janet

Central to many BlackHills attractions. Beautiful home - and perfectly appointed. The amenities were 5 star.
Owner's were a delight to work with. Home was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!
