Here in the heart of Tuscany you will find the best atmosphere to relax and get away from your daily routine. Enjoy the tranquillity and the unique surroundings of Il Poggio amidst vineyards and olive trees. The panorama is incomparably beautiful. Il Poggio’s swimming pool is – with a size of 10m*20m – very large and invites everyone to go for a dip or swimming, there’s also a separate pool for children. You'll find numerous sports activities, like a tennis-court, table tennis, volleyball, boccia or you can attend cooking lessons or Italian language lessons. In July and August once a week a Pizza-dinner will take place, on Saturday evening you also can book dinner, so you can start your holiday very relaxed. The estate is well-suited for families as well as for couples looking for calmness.

You will reach Florence, Pisa and Siena in about a one hour drive, San Gimignano and Volterra are only a 30 minutes ride from Il Poggio. At the little town Montaione, about 8 kilometers away from the estate, you will find find several shops, restaurants, bank, doctor and pharmacy. Further Details: English speaking reception. Breakfast service. The estate offers cooking- and Italian lessons, bakery goods service, rental of mountainbikes. For the children you will find a small playground with slide and swing. Cot and highchair free of charge. Horseback riding about 3 kilometres away from the estate. In-house production-sale (Wine, oliveoil, saffron, spelt). Common washing machine. In July and August you can join a Pizza-dinner once a week and dinner on Saturday evening.

Golf: In Castelfalfi, only 13 km away, you will find a wonderful, well-maintained Golf court (18 holes on 6.449 meters, Par 73, SSS 73), in the midst of the splendid, Tuscan hilly landscape. On 66 hectares of the Castelfalfi Golf & Country Club you can play ambitious golf. The challenge this Course lies in the fact that the play with varying height differences is played with trouble-free gradients, about levels with waves not to be underestimated also often downhill. The Greens are well defended by single technically demanding bunkers.

Wir haben eine tolle Woche im Haus Cipresso auf Il Poggio verbracht und diese sehr genossen. Die Besitzer sind unkompliziert und flexibel und diskret. Das Anwesen ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt, der Pool ein Traum, da er richtig groß ist. Unsere Kinder konnten im Kinderbecken bedenkenlos planschen oder mit uns Boule spielen oder auf dem Kinderspielplatz toben. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist ok, man hat alles, was man braucht. Die Wohnung war ein wenig dunkel, was bei heißem Wetter durchaus von Vorteil sein könnte.Die Küche ist mehr Küche als Wohnraum, aber eigentlich lebt man eh auf der Terasse oder macht Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Die Lage von Il Poggio ist genial, man kann morgens ins Dorf laufen (3 Minuten) und bei Fossetti alles Notwendige kaufen und auch gleich einen kleinen Kaffee trinken.
Das Anwesen eignet sich auch hervorragend für befreundete Familien.

Toskana-Feeling mitten in der Natur

Il Poggio ist ein romantisches, schön gelegenes, mit Gespür renoviertes und gepflegtes Landgut, auf dem man unafgeregtes toskanisches Flair genießen kann. Es macht einfach Spaß sich dort "seinen" Toskana-Urlaub selbst zu gestalten und zwischen Unternehmungen und Relaxen auf dem Gut zu switchen.
Wir finden, Il Poggio eignet sich besonders für viele Freunde, die gemeinsam Urlaub machen wollen, ohne zu 100 % aufeinander abgestimmt sein zu müssen. Aber es ist auch kurzfristig möglich, last minute für nur ein paar Tage unterzukommen und - z.B. auch einer Rundreise - auszuspannen.
Die Wohnungen sind perfekt ausgestattet, um es sich dort gut gehen zu lassen, insbesondere sind sämtliche notwendigen Küchengeräte vorhanden. Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fussläufig (ein Tante-Emma-Laden der mehr Auswahl hat, als man es ihm ansieht) und mit dem Auto gut erreichbar.
Mit Pool, Tennisplatz, etc. kann man - auch ohne das Gutsgelände zu verlassen - schöne Tage erleben. Die große Terasse (von der man ganz romantisch den Sonnenuntergang beobachten kann) und das weitläufige Gelände eignen sich auch bestens für ein großes Fest, bei dem alle Gäste vor Ort "untergebracht" werden können.
Die Eigentümer und die das Landgut betreuenden Mitarbeiter vor Ort sind offen, freundlich und gerne bereit, auch größere Wünsche - wie unseren dort Hochzeit zu feiern - zu ermöglichen.
Um mobil zu sein benötigt man allerdings ein Auto/Motorrad oder viel Kondition, um die toskanischen Hügel nach Sughera mit dem Fahrrad erklimmen zu können.
Die bekannten Attraktionen der Toskana sind mit dem Auto/Motorrad gut zu erreichen, sportliche Radfahrer kommen auch auf Ihre Kosten.
