Situated adjacent to the Lake of the Pines Community and mid-way between Auburn and Grass Valley/ Nevada City, this 12 year old Victorian farmhouse combines the charm of a B&B with the practicality of a new home. Enjoy 3700 sq ft of beautiful indoor living space set on 3 acres in the beautiful Sierra Foothills. A recreation wonderland! Prepare meals in the large country kitchen, eat in the kitchen, the adjacent dining room, the spacious front porch with gorgeous sunset views, or the sheltered back patio with casual seating and a fountain. Relax before the fire in the living room where there is a baby grand piano and spectacular views from the large bay window. Upstairs the large family room has a pool table, satellite TV, books, games, pool table and toys for the little ones. A day bed sleeps two. Sleep 14 in beds, with the flexibility of more on air beds.

Located just outside of the Lake of the Pines community at an elevation of 1700', the rolling green hills with oaks and pine trees is breathtaking! Enjoy the proximity to nature and yet only a mile or two away are the conveniences of a market, multiple restaurants, Long's pharmacy and medical care. The local rivers are great for tubing, rock jumping and sunning. Just a short 15 minute drive to visit the charming Gold Rush towns of Auburn and Grass Valley/ Nevada City. 1 hour drive to the Lake Tahoe area for skiing, hiking, rafting, biking, and more! Less than a 2 hour drive to the culture of San Francisco or the Napa Valle Wine Country. 45 minute drive to the State Capitol and Old Town Sacramento. The train museum in Sac, the gardens and mansion of the Empire Mine in GV, Sutter's Mill in Coloma.... if you want to go, there is lots to see and do in this beautiful and historic area! Great views from a beautiful home!

We spent Memorial Day weekend celebrating our mom's 80th birthday in this home and we had a fabulous time. It was so clean and comfortable, with plenty of room and beautiful custom decorator touches throughout. It had features to keep the adults happy, but it was also kid-friendly. We especially enjoyed spending time on the porch taking in the view from up on the hill. The pool table was a big hit, too. This is by far the nicest home we've ever rented and it was a perfect venue for our celebration!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
