This country house was lovingly restored during the past few years. It has retained its original style. It is situated in a wonderfully mild location, nestled amidst a natural landscape, approximately 20 km from the renowned Therme di Saturnia (little volcano crater), which dates back to Roman times. Caese is located at an altitude of 635 m above sea level. One can enjoy a unique view of the sea, the island of Giglio and the nearby villages. From the terrace (approx. 20 m²), one has access to a spacious kitchen-cum-living-room with an open fireplace. From it, one enters a living room with a sleeping possibility, as well as two separate bedrooms (approx. 100 m2, all together).

The historic village is located amidst unique, wildly romantic surroundings. This is the ideal starting point from which to experience the lifestyle of the descendants of the Etruscans face to face, with their defiant, historic, stone-carved towns of Sovana, Sorano, Pitigliano, Vulci and Tuscania. One can also visit the Etruscan necropoli. Rome, Florence, Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Perugia, Elba and Lago de Bolsena can easily be reached in day trips.

Wir waren schon mehrfach, in unterschiedlichen Konstellationen im schönen Caese. Sowohl als paar, als auch mit einer befreundeten Familie mit zwei KIndern.
Das Haus ist einfach toll. Ein gewachsenes Bauernhaus in dem man dem Leben der früheren Bewohner oder dem der Einheimischen näher kommen kann. Es bietet geräumige Zimmer und die große Wohnküche mit offenem Kamin, bietet auch an kühlen Abenden Raum für gemütliche Stunden.
Der Blick von der Terasse ist einfach himmlisch und weit. An klaren Tagen, kann man am Horizot das Meer schimmern sehen.

Die wenigen Leute, denen man in diesem Weiler, begegnet sind offen, freundlich und freuen sich über Kontakt.

Wir haben die Städte etruskischen Ursprungs besucht, das gute Essen und die Bar Sport in Semproniano geliebt.

Von Caese aus haben wir schon viele Tagesausflüge gemacht. Nach Florenz, Siena und Rom.
Zu einem wirklich schönen Strand im Naturschutzgebiet fährt man etwa 1,5 Std.
Längere Fahrten kann man gut auf sich nehmen, da die Landschaft so schön ist und es immer neues zu entdecken gibt. Da bekommt reisen dann nochmal eine ganz andere Bedeutung.

Besonders gut haben mir auch die Ausritte im toscanischen Wald, abseits von befestigten wegen gefallen. Hier bekommt men einen guten Eindruck von Flora und Fauna.
Auto oder Motorrad umbedingt erforderlich.

und von hervorragendem Wetter begleitet, haben wir eine sehr schönen und erholsame Woche in Ihrem Ferienhaus Caese verbracht.

Blick, Ruhe und Atmosphäre haben uns viel Freude bereitet. Sicher werden wir irgendwann nochmal von diesem Angebot gebrauch machen.

Anbei die Schlüssel, den Reiseführer und 2 versehentlich mitgereiste Kühlakkus.
