Photos and Description of this Pacific Grove holiday cottage Victorian Modern Charm - Three Bedrooms, One Bath, Living Room. NO KITCHEN

The original part of the house (The Cottage) was built in 1891 by A. W. Anderson and was lovingly restored by a Master Craftsman in 2002. The cottage part has 3 small bedrooms, a living room with a Carmel stone fireplace and a marble/granite bathroom. There are hardwood floors throughout. This is a very clean and cozy place to spend the weekend. Close to town, beach and Cannery Row. This place is for people who want to relax in a comfortable private setting. Since the Cottage is a part of a bigger structure, it has no Kitchen. A refrigerator, microwave and Coffee maker are provided.

Great Place To Stay

What a charming place to stay and so close to everything. Arrived by car and only really used it once to eat at a restaurant to far to walk to. You can walk everywhere and so easy to go places from the Cottage.
The beds were very comfortible and each room were so cute and cosy. Had coffee in the morning out on the front porch and watched the people pass by. At night had a glass of wine on the side porch looking down towards the bay. It has TV and wireless internet, but did not need it. I would surgest that if you are looking for great place to stay and away from the "hotel" jungle, stay here. Best long week end we had in such a long time and we will be back.

A real home away from home

There is no better example for this slogan. We enjoyed our stay very much. The atmosphere there is very authentic, due to the tasteful furnishing and the lovingly restored architecture of the cottage. Also remarkable is Birgit's warm and friendly way of receiving and "handling" her guests.

Peaceful Getaway at the Coast

My two sisters and I celebrated a milestone birthday together at the cottage. It is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We each had our own bedroom and the luxury of a lovey living room in which to chat . There are two outdoor areas for relaxing as well.The location is easy walking distance to the ocean, the Aquarium - a must see - and the downtown restaurants and shops. We discovered darling shops and galleries and had great dinners at Fandango and Passion Fish and a yummy breakfast at the Red House CAfe. I would highly recommend it - far better than a hotel.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Romantic Getaway

very beautiful and old-stylish rooms, 2 walk-minutes from the coast of monterey. The rooms are led by Birgit, a friendly and heartful woman which speaks also german. Visit Monterey, visit the Cottage! highly recommended

...wow, what a wonderful stay in a nice charming athmosphere with
wooden floors, fireside with nice stuff on the walls and wonderful cosy beds...and even the ceiling was lovingly painted with motives from an older time. A very nice week in the cottage with chillout porch.
