Come stay in the heart of the Nantahala National Forest in a comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath house. It sits in a cove and backs up to over 530,000 acres of forest. It's conveniently located right off Highway 28 N and is only 0.7 miles from the Tsali Recreation Area, which is great for mountain biking, hiking, trail running and horseback riding. It's so close you can ride your bike there!
The best part is that it's pet friendly!! So bring the whole family with you. Your dog will love you forever if you take him or her out hiking or mountain biking in this area. Tsali Rec Area is dog friendly, along with the Nantahala National Forest, which has miles and miles of hiking trails, one of the most popular being the Appalachian Trail.

Bryson City and the Nantahala River are both located about 10 miles in either direction, so it's centrally located. Bryson City is where the Great Smoky Mountain National Park begins and is also the closest place to get groceries, so stock up on your way through! Cherokee, home of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians and Harrah's Casino, is only a 20 minute drive. The Nantahala River is the perfect family destination with 8 miles of class I-III whitewater.

There are also a number of different rivers within a 1-2 hour drive from the cabin that offer a little more advanced rafting experience. The French Broad, Ocoee, Chattooga, Cheoah, Nolichucky and Pigeon are all around, with this cabin conveniently sitting right in the middle of all of them! If you are a kayaker, this would be a good base.
