My sweet French house sits in a quiet French hamlet alongside a small château. Ten years ago I fell in love with this traditional old farm house and scraped together my pennies.. I bought it from Madame Ferrieres who was born in the house and left me many of her beautiful old furniture pieces and some great recipes. Subsequent renovations have kept the original feel while adding modern conveniences. The house has an open plan layout that make it great for one couple or a family of up to 5, but probably not two couples. There is lots to do in the neighborhood and you can also stay on the terrace or up in the garden reading and relaxing .

I stayed here in 2006 with my parents (party of three). We loved the house and the description is accurate - the furnishings are very pretty, kitchen well equipped and the surroundings idyllic. The Aveyron is delightfully untouristy and the famous St Cirq La Popie, although much visited, is stunning. We have eaten well in St Cirq and Limogne and taken some great trips around the area. I recommend this house.

Charming with a capital C.

Last July my wife and I spent 2 weeks at this extremely Charming house in one of the most historical and picturesque regions of France. We spent many days exploring the nearby cities, towns, and medieval sites, all easily accessible by automobile. There were also outdoor markets where local produce could be purchased, restaurants and brocants, as well as the gorgeous medieval town of Villeneuve en Aveyron with cafes, a small supermarket and a wonderful patisseire, actually within walking distance of the house. There was someplace to go every day, but my favorite time was spent in the little garden next to the house overlooking the church, just relaxing, reading and listening to the doves and frogs singing their summer songs until late in the evening.
If this sounds appealing, then I am sure you would truly enjoy spending some time here. Oh, I forgot to mention the fabulous wines available everywhere at excellent prices. Heavenly!
