Flamingo has great access to all major roads and is a little over an hour from Liberia International Airport (LIR). Central to all major Gold Coast beach destinations and surf breaks, Flamingo is a classier hideaway known for its upscale homes and condos, uncrowded pristine white sand beach and breathtaking sunset views. It's not overdeveloped like Tamarindo has become, and the howler monkeys still cruise the tree trails that envelope the property (you'll often find them out back). For surfers there is a powerful left point break right out front that works great when the swell gets big. There are a good number of quality bars and restaurants within walking distance and on neighboring beaches Potrero and Brasilito (5-10 min drive). Good groceries and gifts can also be obtained there. Tamarindo is an easy, fully paved, 25 min drive if you want to join the hustle and bustle, party down, or go shopping for souvenirs. If you just want peace and tranquility, this will be just perfect!
