Cozy houseboat. Kitchen is fully equipped. Light and sunny living room and a small roofed balcony where you can enjoy your cigarette or the view. No smoking inside. Double bed in the bedroom, size 1.40 x 1.90m. Sleeping sofa in the lounge for two. Lively neighborhood. In a few minutes you are at the Leidseplein. The Leidseplein is the outgoing area of Amsterdam with lots of restaurants, bars, dancing, cinemas and theaters. At walking distance from the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Amsterdam concert Gebouw (Concert Hall), or you can walk to the shopping area near the Damsquare. The Vondelpark is very near.

Great Stay!

We stayed for a week and loved every piece of it. Boat is nicely appointed, roomy, in a location where many tram lines converge (very near Leidseplein). The experience of staying in the canal is superb, there are ducks, swans and moderate (and mostly quiet) boat traffic passing by, very fun to watch... even a wedding party swung by!!

Houseboat is well appointed, with comfortable furniture, linens and towels provided and redundant. Kitchen and fridge are small but functional (except microwave that didn't work).

For the very neurotic, the boat is very close to the Nassaukade, a street with some vehicular traffic by Amsterdam standards, but nothing that bothered us at all.

Neighborhood is very residential, with good shops for groceries, even a farmer's market, and a few quaint bars and take-outs. Jordaan and 9 streets just a canal-hop away.

Mirjam and Sanders are very helpful and responsive to any queries, and quickly returned the deposit. Thanks!

A very nice place in Amsterdam

The houseboat is very nice and original place to stay in Amsterdam. It has all things you need. The atmosphere is very well. It's interesting for children to feed the ducks and see the boats swimming in front of the windows. Sometimes it's a little bit loud, but so you take part on the real life of this interesting town. You can go to the city by feet and that's very good. We hope, we can come back sometime :)

A Great Week Away

We enjoyed a great week in your cosy houseboat; the photos don't really do it justice, it is a very comfortable place to stay! While not being very large, it was perfect for our needs and those of any other couples staying in the city. We really enjoyed being right on the canal, and it is quite close to the heart of the city - only about 5 minutes away from Leidseplein (where there's many shops and restaurants) and not too much further to Dam Square, we were able to walk around the attractions of the city with ease. There were several supermarkets close by too, so getting your shopping is never a problem either, just a quick 10 minute trip out in the evening! We would also recommend renting bikes (there's a rental company close by!) while you're there, cycling through the vondelpark and the Jordan district are musts!

The owner is very friendly; all correspondence before we arrived was fast and friendly, and we got a warm welcome and quick tour round the houseboat when we arrived!
I would recommend staying here to anyone who is planning a getaway in Amsterdam; we had a brilliant holiday and the choice of accommodation made it all the better! We're very glad we picked here to stay!
