Long Lake. Very private log home. Sandy bottom 150 ft. lakefront on beautiful Long Lake with 5 islands, 4 open to public for hiking. 40 ft. dock and boat house with kayaks. Newer 3000 square foot log home complete with vintage appeal and all modern amenities. Charming great room open to kitchen and dining area with stone fireplace. Lower level walkout with vintage pool table and entertainment area. Two large lakeside decks with Weber gas grill. 10 miles from Traverse City and Interlochen, 30 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Perfect Vacation

This was, hands down, one of our family's very best vacations ever. Our friendly, accommodating hosts have created a place that truly feels like "your own home away from home". Their home is simply beautiful. It is not only beautifully decorated, but has so much character and charm. We just loved it! We only left once to go to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Glen Arbor (about 30 minutes away). Other than that, we really didn't even want to leave. Their home was vacation enough for us. The lake is BEAUTIFUL and the cleanest I've ever seen. It was very uncrowded, which made for relaxing and enjoyable boating. We pontooned, kayaked, row-boated, swam, fished, sunned, played lots of pool, cooked s'mores, enjoyed the fireplace - their home had everything we were looking for in a vacation. I also loved sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee and looking at the lovely lake listening to the loons. Beautiful home, spectacular lake - just a perfect vacation! I would highly recommend this home to anyone!

Lovely, furnished and functional

This lovely home with three bedrooms and two decks was the perfect spot to enjoy summer lakeside vacation living. With kayaks on site free of charge and a pontoon boat rented at a reasonable rate for the week, our family of six had a fantastic time. The kitchen is stocked as well as the boat house and the lake couldn't be lovelier or more peaceful. With islands to kayak to, sandy beaches to explore and the advice of the very kind homeowners at the start of the week, everything was near perfect. One downside is the loft-style master, which doesn't allow for much privacy or sleeping in.

Our stay on Long Lake

We loved this cabin! It was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, a 7 year old and an 8 month old), but could have worked just as well for a larger family. The house was extremely clean and well decorated. You could see the love that the owners put in it. It is pretty remote but located in a small established neighborhood. We made several 1/2 day trips very easily. We visited Leland, Traverse City, Sutton's Bay, Alberta, Glen Arbor and other little towns in between. If there was anything we would change or look for if we went to another house, we would like to be level with the water. The stairs to and from the lakeside were easy, but a challenge with a little one. Other than that, this is a perfect place to get away!! We can't wait to visit again in the future!
