Memorial Day family weekend

I almost hate to write about our experience because I selfishly want to be able to return to this cabin whenever we like!

The pictures, while nice, don't really do the cabin justice. It is almost new, really clean and well-equipped. We are a family of four with two boys, 9 and 14, and we had more than enough room. We could easily have taken another family of 4-5 and been pretty comfortable. The basement is a big plus with a large family area and large screen TV with surround sound for movies.

The lake itself is really charming and the house sits right on the water in a nice bay. While there are quite a few houses on the bay, we never felt like it was crowded. Be aware that there are other cabins right next door (the cabin sits on a small street with several other cabins). We were a little worried when we pulled up that it wasn't as secluded as we would have liked, but the reality was that we rarely saw anyone else and were completely comfortable.

We did a guided half day fishing trip on the lake and caught plenty of saugers, pike and crappie to have a wonderful fish fry. While we didn't water ski or jet ski, there were others that were and we will definitely plan to do so on our nest visit. The lake has quite a few stumps, so you just need to be aware and make sure you boat in the right places.

We are very picky about places we stay...we really expect it to be clean and comfortable. This cabin exceeded our expectations!

Also, make sure to visit some of the surrounding towns. We took a day trip to Spring Green and visited Taliesin, the home of Frank Lloyd Wright. Definitely worth a side trip.
