This private luxury residence in Stony Creek, CT occupies a very secluded and magnificent setting with spectacular ocean views from all major rooms. The house faces south with a 180-degree view overlooking the Thimble Islands and beyond to the 18 miles across Long Island Sound. The large bluestone terrace and second floor deck are ideal locations for enjoying this special natural setting. The house, renovated in 2002, is elegantly furnished throughout with antiques, oriental rugs, fine art, and slate floors. The kitchen has custom cabinets and granite counter tops, with doors that slide open to reveal a full ocean view or close to provide a paneled dining room. Its many amenities include a 42' HD plasma TV and wireless internet. Two of the three bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds, the third has two twin beds or king. It is ideally located to provide easy access to New York City and Boston. Not recommended for children under six.

We lived in this home last fall and watched a
spectacular autumn unfold over the waters of Stony
Creek. The house fit our needs perfectly (including
visits from family). The house is uniquely located
overlooking the thimble islands and remnants of an
old trolley line that runs from Pine Orchard to the
Creek. On Sundays, we'd walk that trolley line and
encounter old friends from the New Haven area.
This home is magical and we remember it fondly. It
is breathtakingly beautiful.
