Asheville Lookout is located on the side of Rock Knob Mountain, on 15 acres of wooded family-owned property with a private driveway. The nearest house is at the base of the drive, approximately 250 yards away and out of sight. The house is secluded and overlooks a horse farm and church in the valley below. The gravel driveway is kept in good repair, and is easily navigated by a regular car. Parking space for multiple vehicles. The property has a hiking trail for exercising your pet; climb to the top of the mountain where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Bee Tree Valley and the surrounding Brushy Mountains.
Shopping and Restaurants:
The nearest grocery store is Ingles Market on Route 70, 4 miles from the chalet in downtown Swannanoa. They have a full service pharmacy, movie rentals, extended shopping hours, self-checkout, and accept major credit cards. The Ingles Gas station and Bank of America with driveup ATM is in the same plaza. Black Mountain has several wonderful restaurants; Black Mountain Bistro, Veranda Cafe and Las Quezelas (authentic Mexican). For those who like atmosphere with their coffee, visit the Dripolator Coffeehouse on State Street.
