This property is a great place to raise a family in the country! The barn has three horse stalls and a professional riding and boarding stable is less than 1 mile away as the crow flies. There is plenty of room for gardens and farm animals. It is also a great location for a writer or artist that wants peace and seclusion. Although it is a short distance to New Haven (Yale University), Middletown (Wesleyan University) and Hartford, you will think that you are in the back woods of Vermont or Maine. This property is surrounded by over 1000 acres of undeveloped property and is located off a federal scenic highway. It is perfect for exploring the outdoors from your door in your down time by hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding. A spur off the blue trail intersects the back of the 40 acres of the property. There are deer and turkeys in the back yard almost daily. This location is best described as serene, unspoiled, secluded, and peaceful yet still a convenient location.
