If you have ever wanted to step away from your every day hum-drum and enjoy nature and a taste of the western frontier, this place is for you. Although the Ranch House has great nostalgic feel with its all wood interior and potbelly stove... it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable with meticulously clean and up to date kitchen and bathrooms. The ranch house is wonderfully private surrounded by large oak and pine trees. The Ranch house is situated on 70 wooded acres, and there are many gardens and meadows on the property to enjoy to your hearts content. The Ranch House will accomodate 20 comfortably, also available is a Cabin and a Master Suite available for smaller groups, please inquire if you are interested. It is our promise to you that you will leave here refreshed. WHISPER CANYON RANCH IS AN ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO FREE FACILITY.

Surrounding activities are jet boat rides from Grants Pass. Fishing on the Rogue, Illinois or other rivers or Lake Selmac all within easy driving distance. The Oregon Caves and many local wineries are scattered around the countryside near Whisper Canyon Ranch. Oregon and Northern California coastline is an easy hour drive away, with the majestic redwoods in between. Kalmiopsis wilderness area and many hiking trails are readily available.

Other activities at Whisper Canyon: There are some hiking trails on the property and miles of access to BLM land that adjoins WCR for those who are interested in bringing their horses or ATVs. For horses we can accommodate 8 in separate 12 foot square outdoor holding pens. Additional accommodations can probably be arranged ahead of time. We do not have/offer horseback riding here at the ranch but there are a riding stable 5 miles or so from the ranch who would be able to accommodate your riding needs.

Additional rental uses of WCR: The extensive grounds of Whisper Canyon Ranch make it an ideal place for a family reunion or small wedding party or even a small group retreat. Our website offers ideas and options you may be interested in.

Just returned home from an incredible experience at Whisper Canyon Ranch and have already recommended it to several people!
When we first drove up to the ranch house we thought we should have shouted "move that bus"... our entire group of 18 was in awe! The accomodations are unique and top of the line! One member of our group said, "I've never slept on a more comfortable bed." Another young man said, I never thought I'd go some place and be so pampered."
Everything about the place is top notch! Plenty of everything... the best towels, four sweet shower rooms, all the nice-ities you could want in a kitchen (including a mixer and coffee grinder). It is clean, fresh, and beyond anything we ever dreamed of.
The great room and adjoining patio, with seating for 20 plus made meal times really nice!
Location, location, location is what some people rate a place by--- what could be nicer than being totally "out in the country (where you might see baby wild turkeys)", within a easy walk or job to a clean swimming lake, and at the same time just minutes from a Ray's grocery store?
The hosts are warm, accomodating, thoughtful (making sure our needs and wants were met) and even offering suggestions at our request.
We can't wait for the next time we stay at Whispering Canyon Ranch! Thanks Angie, Melody and families! We appreciate all the work you have put into making such a place available and at a rate that is affordable! Your heart shows in the workmanship of the house and grounds and in your kind way of dealing with your guests. We wish you the best as you continue to offer your gift of hospitality!
