A charming private one-bedroom stone cottage on the south side of St. John with views of Reef Bay and Rams Head in the distance. Perfect for honeymooners or a couples getaway. Furnished with all the comforts of an island home including stainless steel appliances, outdoor gas grill, fully air-conditioned and wireless DSL. The living room has a full size sofa and chair; native stone accent walls, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors with privacy curtains. Just draw them back for views of the Caribbean Sea, sunrise over Rams Head or watch local surfers when the waves are up. The queen-sized four poster traditional West Indian mahogany bed is elevated. Adjoining the bathroom is a private tiled outdoor shower. The pool is located up the hill, on the grounds between cottage and main house. Furnished with chaise lounge chairs and market umbrella for shade.

Reef Bay Cottage is located on the south side of St. John. Cruz Bay is a 15 minute drive; access to many restaurants, eateries, bars, shopping and vendors providing watersports activities not limited to snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, parasailing, power boat rentals, etc. We can point you in the right direction for sportsfishing, kayaking, biking and hiking trails. The northside of the island has lots of sugar white sandy beaches within the National Park, that is about a 20-30 minute drive from Reef Bay. Coral Bay is about 30-40 minutes drive, a must stop for a bite to eat before heading out to Salt Pond or Lameshur.

Notes: The cottage is located on lower part of property with it's own separate driveway/off-street parking. Owners live on same property at the main house. The pool is exclusive for guest use during their stay, located up the hill on the grounds between cottage and main house. We have prevailing tradewind breezes and have the patio on the leeward side of the cottage. There are a couple of princess balconies where guests have enjoyed many hours enjoying the unobstructed sea view.

Reef Bay beaches: About 200 yards past the cottage starts the National Park trailhead to the white sandy beach below. Agility is required to access this trail. Enjoy the beach or continue the trail along the waterfront to reach the petroglyphs or the White Cliffs on the eastern end of the far beach. If you decide to take it easy on the beach in front, on a calm day, it has some of the best snorkeling to be found on St. John. When the surf is up, from dawn to dusk, you will find children of all ages surfing the waves .

The Reef Bay Cottage proved to be a beautiful place to spend our week on St. John. The host was incredibly helpful with suggestions and directions before arrival, and we couldn't have asked for a more well-appointed, comfortable home with great views of the ocean from every window. The home was well-stocked with everything from beach chairs to its top-notch kitchen. We highly recommend this cottage that was only a 15-minute drive from Cruz Bay.
