Our guest house is located near downtown Ocean Springs on our very private three acre property known as 'Camellia Hill.' You will be surrounded by century old Live Oaks, stately Magnolias, as well as over fifty Camellia's. The guest house has just finished it's entire remodel including new furniture and appliances. The main floor has comfortable seating with two recliners as well as a sleeper sofa, flat screen TV and DVD.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A security deposit of $200 is required to confirm a reservation. There is a strict no smoking policy in and on the grounds, and will cause forfeiture of deposit if incurred. A deposit refund will be made within 3 days of your departure upon completion of guest house inspection.
  • While we are pet friendly we ask that it be limited to a pet 25lbs and under.
    We require that the pet be house broken. There is also an additional $15.00 per day for your pet.

A word or two about Ocean Springs, Mississippi. This is still one of the best kept secrets of the Gulf Coast, located on the eastern shore of Biloxi Bay just twenty miles from Gulfport International Airport. The casinos with top name entertainment are minutes away as well as miles of sandy beaches. The town itself is one of the oldest cities in the U.S. and is ripe with restaurants, great shopping and local entertainment. Known for it's art and festivals it also has a museum for the renowned late artist, Walter Anderson. Shearwater Pottery is another must see and was created from the brother of Walter, Peter Anderson. A fall festival with Peter's namesake draws thousands of people in the fall. If you have wanderlust New Orleans as well as Mobile are easy day trips away. Every season is a good one in Ocean Springs, so we eagerly invite you to come and visit the beautiful 'City of Discovery.'

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Camellia Hill." Jim, the owner was friendly, accomodating, and a pleasure to plan with.
The cottage, which he and his family put much love and hard work into, was just what we were looking for. It was so comfortable, clean as a whistle, and in a great location, convenient to access along the Mississippi/Alabama coast and more.
For those looking for a weekend getaway, or a longer restful vacation experience, "Camellia Hill" would be an ideal "home base."
We are already planning to spend our anniversary there later in the year.

Southern Hospitality at it's best!

Our stay at Camilla Cottage was peaceful and serene, surrounded by ancient oak trees and nature at it's best, yet a very short drive to restaurants, shopping and the beach.
The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Truly a gem as are the owners.
