The house in details:
The garden is beautiful with a small terrassa, shade trees and privacy from the main road. the master bedroom has a private bathroom and a pick to the ocean on high tide. every room has a fan, closet, queen size bed.
The house has warmly cozy feeling, nicely decorated and furnished with sofa, table and chairs, DVD projector and movies in the living room. The kitchen is lovely and big, open to the living room and comes fully equipped with a fridge, stove, blender and all kind of dishes. washing machine in the service room. There is plenty of working space on decorative concrete countertop to cook all kind of meals, from pancakes for breakfast to romantic dinners and barbecues at night.
The vacation house has a telephone (national calls only) and access to the internet. There is a private entrance to the house and safe parking on the property.
Cabuya village:
On the ocean side, just between Mal-Pais, Santa Teresa and Montezuma, lies village of Cabuya. A wide unspoiled 3km beach reaches up to the first reserve in Costa Rica, Cabo Blanco. The water we drink in Cabuya comes from the reserve and its the tastiest water you will ever drink.
Because the beach in Cabuya is a bit rocky, most of the time you will find the beach very private. You might see the fishermen go out to fish or someone walking in the send and looking for sea glass, shells and colorful stones. Almost everything is in a walking distance. Within 2 minutes walk you will find a bakery, a sushi bar, a lovely Internet cafe, two small local groceries where you will find anything you need from fishing gear to lovely organic fruits and vegetables at very low rates. Several local fishermen sell fresh fish.
there are two surf point near by, one for beginners and one for more advanced surfers.
Entering Cabuya is the beautiful river 'Rio Lajas' with water falls and swimming pools
Around Cabuya:
Just 1km off the beach line of Cabuya, the island of Cabuya where you can snorkel and fish in one of the most beautiful spots around. The funny thing is that at low tide you can walk to the island on dry land as the sea folds back and expose the trail to the island.
At the end of the village of Cabuya starts the Natural Reserve Cabo Blanco. a real wildlife corner, bird watching, monkeys and primary forest surrounds you. Beautiful ocean views and sandy beaches you will find as you hike through the reserve.
You can also take a horseback riding or rent an ATV to go to the other end of the reserve, Mal-Pais, for more scenic and breath taking white sandy beaches. Mal-Pais and Santa-Teresa are among the world most famous surf beaches, and many surfers come here regularly to surf.
The night life in Cabuya is quiet and relaxed, but just in a 10 minutes drive you will discover a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, bars and full moon beach parties in Montezuma, Mal-Pais and Santa-Teresa.
