4-5 people can spend their holidays in our home. The holiday home is conveniently and modernly furnished with all the necessary for a functional household. The house is situated at the edge of Sciacca, on the hillside, with a stunning panorama and sea view (distance to the beach approx. 1 km). It is close to one of the many bathing beaches in and around Sciacca. A covered patio or balcony with garden furniture is available. Grocery stores and restaurants are about 800 m away. It is about 2.5 km to the 'Centro Storico', the beautiful old town and the habour.

The picturesque town Sciacca is located between Marsala and Agrigento in South West of Sicily and is well known for its beaches and clean water. The fishing possibilities, sea food & the Sciacca's carnival procession on Monday before Lent are also famous - the 'Mardi Gras' is one of three of the most impressive processions in Sicily. History: the village was probably called Sicanian- Greek, because of the Selinunte located close by. The Romans called this site 'Thermae Selinuntinas', because of its healthy thermal bathes, but with the conquest by the Saracens the town gain wealth and the new current name: Sciacca. The name is originally from the Saracens and means 'rocky cave' or 'rocky cliff'. Sciacca is the middle of an archaeological route. Within 30 minutes to the West you will find the temples of Selinunte and further, Erice. Within a one-hour drive to the East you can reach the excavations in Eraclea Minoa and further the Greek valley of the temple close to Agrigento.

Today the Piazza di Scandaliato - the wide, spacious and shady sea promenade of Sciacca, is the main meeting point of inhabitants and tourists. A lot of cosy pubs, restaurants and small shops are located along Piazza di Scandaliato. Further attractions are the cathedral, built in the 12th century by the Normans and the castle Luna, built in 1380, and the Castello Incantato with its numerous sculptures. Sciacca is an ideal place for those who want to get to know Sicily's way of life and who prefer tranquillity to animation and turbulences.
