We hired this apartment for a week at the start of August 2009. When we arrived we were not disppointed. The flat is as good as the pictures make it look and it has everything that you could possibly need. It was immaculate, clean and luxurious.
We booked using the internet and also spoke to Christopher on the phone which gave that bit of reassurance that puts your mind at ease. The information he provided was great and on arrival we met up with the housekeeper to get the keys despite this being near midnight!
We enjoyed the bottle of local wine on arrival and to sit out on the balcony after the journey from the UK was the ideal opportunity to unwind.
The bedrooms are a great size and the bathrooms are perfect considering the amount of showers you need to take to cool down after taking the sun. Weather was fantastic sunshine every day. The kitchen is a joy to cook in if you wish but there are plenty of great eating places to experience if you feel like a break from this.
Washing m/c, tumble dryer, dishwasher, beach chairs & parasol just make it so easy to live and having the tv to amuse the kids whilst getting ready is great.
The apartment is very close to everything and having a lift is great when you arrrived back after a hard day sunbathing! We ventured to the Arenal area a few times sometimes on foot other times by car or using the little train at night to allow us to sample more of the local wine!
The restort is nice and has a large selection of good restuarants, bars and shops.The local stone beach is spotlessly clean and has Red Cross first aid available should any accidents occur. The sandy beach in the Arenal area is flat, clean and is shallow making it ideal for those with younger children.
Getting about in a car is easy with good roads making trips to Benedorm (including the theme park for the teenagers), and other nearby places of interest. We took the Sat Nav and this proved invaluable.
Our week flew in and we could have easily enjoyed another week if this had been possible. We would definately consider going back to Javea and would be more than happy to return to what was a great apartment to stay in.
In summary this is an ideal location for young and old, families or couples and the apartment will not disappoint, We would recommend it to all who seek a relaxing break in a sunny unspoilt holiday resort by the sea.
Owner's Response: We aim to provide a home away from home with all the conveniences of your "own" holiday home. We did live in this flat for almost two years so it is set up for permanent living. Our idea of a good holiday includes that little extra so that one feels welcome and can relax from the get-go. This notion has been the foundation in setting up the rentals.
We chose Jávea as our location to live for that period of time because of its unspoiled charm in combination with the versatility of a holiday resort. It is off the beaten track, but is in close proximity to both Valencia and Alicante, as well as the lovely nature that the region has to offer.
